It's often hard to find decent food that isn't kebabs after 11pm so it was to my great relief when…read moreI found this place on Google maps. My initial experience was not too bad The food is good for what it is and a welcome relief from the usual late feed. Got the vegan Weiner and wasnt that impressed however with the food itself. Chips were also a bit weird. Kinda soggy and the sauce were a bit meh Staff were super friendly to be fair and decent vibes to accompany the rusty interior aesthetic. Pretty sure they missed another order when I came back a second time. They tried to resolve the issue via FB messenger but it kinda just became radio silence after awhile In summary; not terrible :p

We stumbled across Massive Wieners 25 inch hotdog challenge - so we went to give it a go! The venue is easily accessible via public transport, with tram stops and Prahran train station nearby. It is a cute venue set up like an old American-style hotdog place. We found it entertaining to browse around at all the photos of people that have tried the challenge on the walls. Both staff members we dealt with on were extremely friendly, particularly the owner. He was very sociable and made the whole experience better. They also have vegetarian/vegan options so everyone can have a try! The hotdog really was HUGE! We thought it was pretty great value, as it was only $15.00 - with the allowance of two condiments and unlimited water. The hotdog was really tasty, and had a really nice flavour. There was a very generous amount of sauce, which is definitely needed to complete the challenge successfully! The bun was nice too, but unfortunately both of us succumb to the sheer size of the hotdog - meaning we landed a spot on the 'Did not finish' wall. It was a fun experience despite the serious feeling of fullness for the rest of the day. We look forward to going back to Massive Wieners and trying some of their delicious sides. Check them out!

Being in the heart of all the action, you would think this place would be on top of things, yet…read moreevery time I go there I end up disappointed. My two most recent dealings have been within the past two weeks where, in the drive thru I had to repeat myself 3 times quite clearly and then once at the window, get my drinks, then the gentleman looked at me like an idiot cause I was still there. I finally commented that my food was still missing and he realised he had forgot to give it to me. The second time, I ordered two burgers and two coffee, got my burgers instantly and then got my coffees about 15 minutes later when my food was cold. You'd think they would attempt to employee staff more competent to get the job done but it seems that regardless of the time of year, they lack everything in customer service.

I'm not a huge fan of this particular branch of McDonald's…read more Pros: ~ Quick service. But then again, that's pretty much what McDonald's is. ~ Cheap. But then again, that's pretty much what McDonald's is. Cons: ~ It's always massively crowded because it's in such a central location in St Kilda. You'll probably have a tough time finding a seat. ~ It's a bit messy because people are always coming and going. Expect to need to clean your own table before sitting down. Overall, this McDonald's isn't terrible. The food is standard and it's in a convenient location. However, if you want to skip the lines, the messiness, and the stress of squeezing in between everyone, skip over this spot.

We went there last night for a VIP tasting event. This is by far their biggest and most accommodating store in terms of seating space so it's very convenient if you're hanging out with mates as you can grab a seat and eat in. I also like the layout, with a mix of couch/table and low tables/chairs. On the menu, we had about 4 types of fries and they were all very nice especially with your preferred matching sauce. The chunky fries works well with the Belgian and London sauce I found while the sweet potato, dipped in the Belgian sauce, is pretty good. An upcoming addition to the menu 'The Shanghai Sauce' I think? has a good blend of flavours but I found it to be too runny. The chilli dog was good and reminded me a bit of the one I had in LA at Carney's. Out of the burgers, the tropical Parma burger (minus pineapple for me) was one of the best I had on the night. Another upcoming addition 'Rekha's burger' was quite nice. One of the things that separates lord of the fries I guess from other burger joints is their broader vegan options. Their sauces are also pretty good and they have quite a few of them so that keeps things interesting. It might not become your preferred place to grab this abso-freaking-lutely amazing thing that we call a burger but it's they definitely deserve a look-in ah least.
