1 Star Very…read moredisappointing experience at the Spencer's in Danville, VA. My family and I are a Black lesbian family, and this was not our first concerning experience at this location. During previous visits, we noticed employees assisting white customers while we were not given the same level of customer service. Today, August 8, 2026, we decided to address the issue directly. At approximately 2:00 PM, I asked for the General Manager's contact information because I wanted to make a formal complaint about the repeated lack of customer service. Instead of the situation being handled professionally, the interaction escalated with an employee becoming confrontational with my fiancée, and security was called. My fiancée left to de-escalate the situation. I remained and again requested management's contact information. I was eventually given two phone numbers that were presented as management numbers, but the numbers were not valid General Manager contact information. We were simply trying to address a customer-service concern. We should not have had to experience this level of escalation just for requesting management contact information. I am asking Spencer's to investigate this incident, review any available surveillance footage, and address the concerns regarding how customers are treated at this location. Customers should be treated respectfully and consistently regardless of race, sexual orientation, or family structure. I hope corporate takes this complaint seriously

We headed in and dropped off two of her rings. They were ready in just a matter of days. They were sized as we requested and fit my wife well. As long as my wife is happy, I'm happy.
