The bar is pushed back in a line of businesses which offers a more parking spaces out front. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There are lots of TVs and even a projection TV for your fav games. The place offers high tops, regular seating and bar seating inside. When we entered late afternoon, it was busy. Mostly older folks enjoying the food and drinks- watching the game. We found two spots at the bar and the bartender was quick to get to us. We each ordered name brand vodka drinks. They were tasty and 2 for 1. Wow! Even better. As we sat, the place got busier and the bartender, Danielle, handled her duties with ease. Drinks didn't sit empty on her watch. She was attentive and friendly. Offering a smile and a suggestion if asked. After a couple drinks we ordered some food. I ordered the chicken rice bowl, and my husband got medium wings with breading. The chicken wings were big and tender, the medium sauce was perfect heat, and very tasty. Awesome!! my husband said. And 80 cents each- wow! Again. My blackened chicken bowl was very good. Moist chicken bites with great flavor. It was hot ( temperature not flavor). Every bite like you just took it off the stove at home. One suggestion would be to add a bit more peppers and onions to the dish. They were lost in the rice and beans. Overall- delicious. I couldn't eat it all but wanted to. I was teasing my husband that since we are new to town, we need to check out lots of others places and he smiled that smile. Looks like we found his favorite bar. Chubbyz is going to be hard to beat. We were 30 girls arriving at 12pm, our server was more than outstanding! Keiyannia, was right on point with drinks, even remembered what we had for beverage when we had lunch there previously, talk about customer focus! A few of our ladies could not believe Keiyannia, even remembered how they preferred their entrees or appetizers served. Some other appetizers, the onion rings were superb, hot, firm perfectly round and totally delicious! Cocktails yummy margaritas, mojitos, tequila sunrise, & more! Entrees were the large salads delicious signature with grilled chicken a favorite by many, Buffalo Chicken, etc. Variety of wonderful tasty wraps, with fries or pickles or onion rings, quesadillas of chicken, steak or shrimp! So much to relish and enjoy for lunch, the menu is plentiful with any possible desire one could want! This place is a true GEM! The prices are right on affordable, the non-alcohol beverages refill flow without hesitation. Adult beverages as soon as close to done, they ask if you'd like another. Our table enjoyed pepperoni pizza, bbq wings and sweet chili wings. The pizza was solid just like anyone would expect from a local pizza shop , hot, cheesy, crust was light. The wings perfectly fried disappointing the sauce was poured over top of the wings not tossed. It was also from the cooler so the sauce actually cooled the wings quicker taking away the crunch expected on wings. We will try again just get the sauce on the side or try dry rub.

First off, the wait staff were SO friendly and courteous. They give off a very welcoming vibe! The place looks somewhat run down. The music, which was awesome! (Mayhem SWFL). But it is performed in an add on tent area. Despite many fans, it was extremely hot. They might want to move the music indoors for the very hot Florida summer. The food is your typical bar menu. I chose the Rueben Sandwich with fries and my husband chose the Cuban with homemade chips. We split our sandwiches, so we each had half of both. The food was really tasty. To wrap up our Father's Day getaway, the wife once again reminded me why she's the CEO of vacation…read moreplanning. She found Leroy's Southern Kitchen & Bar in Punta Gorda, and let me tell you this place isn't a restaurant it's a whole Saturday night experience! I walked in thinking there had to be a festival, birthday party, or somebody famous in town. Nope! That's just how they roll every Saturday. Live music, people dancing, everyone smiling I started wondering if they slipped happiness into the sweet tea. Now the wife ordered the Nevermind Pressed Burger with extra cheese and black coffee steak sauce. NEVERMIND?? More like Never mind my diet! One bite then another then another and suddenly her plate looked like the dishwasher had already been there. The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy, cheesy, and that steak sauce should be illegal in at least 12 states. Meanwhile, I ordered the 10 oz. Skirt Steak with jasmine rice, carrots, green onions, and their house made Asian marinade. Listen whoever made that sauce I need the recipe, your autograph, and your retirement plan. I was this close to asking for a to go cup so I could pour it on my cereal tomorrow morning. Mama mia that steak disappeared faster than my paycheck after my wife says, Let's just stop at one more store. Then dessert happened. We saw our neighbors order the homemade Banana Nilla Pudding special. My wife looked at me with that look that says, We're getting one. Fellas you already know that's not a suggestion. Dear Lord now I understand why my doctor keeps telling me to watch my sugar. That pudding almost had me scheduling my next A1C appointment from the table. The live band had me singing songs from back in the day don't ask which ones. Some of y'all are detectives and I'm not giving away my age! And a huge shout-out to Athena! She knew that menu like she wrote it herself. Friendly, funny, attentive she made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. So thank you, Uncle Leroy! Between the food, the music, the atmosphere, and my wife stealing 97% of the dessert, this was the perfect way to end an unforgettable Father's Day getaway. Five stars. Come hungry leave happy and if you order the Banana Nilla Pudding, order TWO. One for your wife and one that you hide under the table. Trust me.
