We had to do all the leg work and when we went to court, he had no strategy, had not filed proper paperwork and was clueless about the facts of our case. Which he had been working on supposedly for over six months, billing us, of course, all along. Save yourself, please. We lost a slam dunk custody case for lack of representation. After we attempted to get the paperwork done by ourselves and had no idea where to start. We met with James and he walked us through the process and what he would need to do, we agreed to have him represent us in the Linn County court and got the paperwork done. I am in the process of dealing with a court case. Mr Reid shattered many of the illusions I had, gave me much better information to light our path and gave me all the correct information we need to construct an airtight case. I asked him what would happen if I lost, and I paraphrase when he replied, "We don't go into court to lose, we go into court ready to prevail!" The retainer fee and requisite costs for necessary subpoena's were lower than I expected. Give him a call!

The first lawyer from their firm resigned from the firm due to mental health issues, no problem there as I understand it's important. I was then appointed to another lawyer who I spoke to a total of two times ( he had vacation and a trial lol). I also think the way they bill is very shady as I review my statements for payment. Ex: I asked to see the footage of arrest and it was sent - was NOT COMMUNICATED ANYWHERE that me asking for evidence would entail an invoice. I don't feel like I was properly represented as the lawyer and I hardly connected as I reached out multiple times to connect. My fault for being lazy and not wanting to look for another attorney once mine resigned. Please do yourself the favor and find another firm.
