I moved to Jacksonville and I am so sad I can no longer go to Rina's. She is absolutely incredible and make anybody's eyebrows look glorious. She is a goddess with thread and can sculpt brows into perfection. Your eyebrows are probably subpar right now but if you went to Rina- she could make you look fantastic. Her prices are also fantastic. If you don't go to her, you're probably making the biggest mistake of your life. Rina is also really nice and it barely hurts when she threads. I also really like Suzi. The absolute BEST place in town. I will not trust anyone else with my eyebrows. I have been going here for years. It is a very clean and efficient shop. They have online option to put in your name so you dont have to wait a long time when you get there and the estimated times are always accurate. I get my eyebrows threaded every 3 weeks. Rina is amazing at microblading. The best in the business. She has transformed my eyebrows to be "on fleek" and always get compliments. These days there are places advertising eyebrow threading on almost every street corner, however none of these compare to Rina's. I travel 30 minutes each way to have my eyebrows threaded here. Yes it may hurt a little, but I have never had redness or swelling that wasn't gone by the time I got home. Very clean and inexpensive for the quality. read more

I went to Sun Tan Spa & Eyebrow Threading to get my eyebrows threaded. Apparently, the owner has another shop at another location and I went at a time while the workers were getting trained for microblading. So I am not sure if the lady that did my eyebrows was a temporary worker or not. The lady that did my eyebrows did not listen to what I wanted. She just started threading. My eyebrows turned out to look like the grinch. Too arched, which does not frame my face well. It made me look like I was mad. It was just a mess. The best description of how my eyebrows turned out to be is rainbows, not in the good way. I do not recommend going here. I now have trust issues to whoever touches my eyebrows. read more

I read rave reviews about this place. Based on them I went and will not be returning. Skill is one thing but cleanliness and sanitary practices are another. I failed to get the name of the technician who did my threading because she deserves to be put on notice. She's looks Indian and wears a black dot on her forehead. I went there with my mother on Saturday, 11/15/14 around 4pm. When I arrived she was finishing up a customer and I was next. While she cashed them out she offered me the chair. While waiting I noticed her work station. There was a used Kleenex, pair of scissors and eyebrow brush on the counter which I did see her use on the previous customer. When she came back she DID NOT sanitize the scissors or eyebrow brush and was about to use them on me. I politely asked her to clean them, she acted as though she didn't understand and looked confused, so I plainly said you used them on the last person can you please clean them. That was my first indication to walk out. Word to the wise you should never have to ask someone in the salon business to clean their instruments between customers. That's just common sense. After she cleaned them she finished my threading. I cashed out and left. My mother mentioned what she had observed the technician do after she finished my threading. She rolled up the USED, YES USED thread back onto the spool. I was horrified!! Not only does she put the thread in her mouth but I have absolutely no idea how many people she used it on before me. It's unsafe and highly unethical to exposed people to filthy practices. It shows a lack of concern for her customers. Plus thread is extremely cheap so there is no excuse to be re-using it. I seriously caution anybody that goes there, if you do please be aware of where the equipment and thread have been before it touches your face. read more

I drive 40 minutes to see Rina every two weeks because I trust her and she is excellent at getting your eyebrows to a shape that complements your face. The complements I receive from her work are more than many. She is artist and the price is extremely fair! Not to mention that the facility is clean and orderly. read more

This is my first Yelp review- I've simply never felt compelled to write a review before but I had such a positive experience at Rina's that I had to share. First of all their online check-in process and waitlist option is awesome. I checked in online for a 45 minute wait (yes, they are that busy on Saturday mornings) while across town waiting for my car to be finished being washed. I could check on the waitlist at any time and the timing was spot on. When I arrived I saw lots of folks waiting but I was 3rd from the top and ended up being called just when they said I would. Rina was so very nice and sweet- as a first-time customer she listened to how I wanted my brows to look and was super sweet when I explained that they were such a mess because my usual waxer had stood me up for two weeks. There was almost no pain (she's such a professional) and even perfected them to be completely even at the end (I didn't see any difference- but she did!). Best part of the whole thing (besides dealing with such a nice person and an awesome result) - no welts! My brows ALWAYS welt up from waxing or threading- but not this time. After this awesome experience, I'm never going anywhere else- you can't beat the prices & it is totally worth the 30 drive from my house. I can't recommend this place enough. Rina ROCKS! read more

I am fairly new to eyebrow threading and have been exclusively going to Rina for my eyebrow threading for almost a year. She is now located at her W Hillsborough location but when I initially did my first eyebrow threading I went to her Sheldon Road location. I did thorough research of the shop's online reviews before going there and the majority of the REALLY GOOD online reviews were about Rina and the excellent job that she does tailoring each person's eyebrow shaping to their specific face and their specific facial features. When I first walked into her shop on Sheldon Road, the waiting area was packed with people waiting to have Rina do their eyebrows and it peaked my curiosity just that much more. So, I requested to have Rina do my eyebrows for the first time and OH MY GOODNESS!!! I have had my eyebrows shaped my entire life at hair salons, nail shops, etc. I have NEVER had my eyebrows shaped as PERFECTLY TAILORED to my face as Rina shaped them, especially with that being the first time that I had ever had my eyebrows actually threaded. I have ONLY gone to Rina for my eyebrow shaping since that initial visit, and she has NEVER disappointed me since that day. Another thing that I have noticed about her is how humble she is. With how HUGE her clientele was on Sheldon Road before expanding her business and moving to her current W Hillsborough location, if she had clients waiting for her in the waiting area, she would not hesitate to offer even HER clients the option of having one of the other ladies do their eyebrows just in case they did not have time to wait until she could do them. And EACH TIME her clients would say that they would prefer to wait for her, or re-schedule for another day when she was not soo busy. Rina's success as a Eyebrow Esthetician is UNDOUBTEDLY because she is an EXTREMELY TALENTED and GIFTED eyebrow shaper.
