My mother recently passed away but she lived at Tender Care Home for Adults for about 7 months,…read morefrom last summer until her passing at the end of January. This is a group home and not a large facility. They can only have a maximum of 6 residents. A group home is a great alternative to a large facility, especially if you or your loved ones have a limited budget. The caregivers that work at this home are so loving and caring. The couple who own this home are so nice and have much experience in this business. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the home is always clean and tidy. It isn't a fancy or new home by any means, but it's clean and the caregivers are wonderful, what else can you ask for. They don't often have available beds, but if you can get your loved one in here you will be happy that you did.

I would like to share our incredible experience with Alvarado Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation…read morefacility. Our loved one with Alzheimer's needed urgent placement in a memory care unit and the staff at Alvarado went above and beyond to help our family. I have never met staff with more compassion and sympathy. Dzenana the marketing and admissions coordinator and Latifou the administrator traveled to Ft Worth late Friday evening to evaluate our loved one after hearing our story and arranged for her admission that very day to get her out of the hospital where she had been placed in a bed in the hall for 4 days. We did not arrive at the facility until after 10pm, Dzenana met us there to help us get her admitted and answer any questions we had. She stayed until after 11pm and was so kind and comforting during the whole process. This alone is extraordinary, but we found out during our conversation with her that her brother was graduating college the next day at 8am with the party afterwards being held at her house. This angel sacrificed her time and attention for us and put our needs above hers. The entire staff we have encountered at the facility have been amazing and our loved one is already recovering from her traumatic experience. We have experience with a previous facility that discouraged family members visiting/staying for a few days after admission and discouraged use of cameras in our loved one's room. Dzenana said we were welcome to stay and visit as long as we wanted and also mentioned we were more than welcome to place a camera in her room. That speaks volumes about the facility. I would also like to mention that our family dropped in without an appointment to view the facility and were welcomed in for a tour with no hesitation. We were able to see residents participating in activities and spoke to several current residents that were pleasant and happy. I can say that they have been taken over by a different company recently. I see the other 1 star reviews and assure you things have changed.
