I came back from Canada to get a new work permit(i am a UK citizen) and had 3 months to fill. I went to these guys, was met by a woman who was standoffish and didn't seem interested in me.I ezplained my situation and told her the various industries i had lots of experience in but also that i would pretty much lick toilet bowls for minimum wage on any shift anywhere( i did tell them that i had mowed lawns for 2 days the week before for 6:25ph so they were aware i would work for low pay). I had transport was was just looking at covering the cost of being back in the UK. She told me to email my cv to them. I did this and then waiting a few days before going back in to ask if they had anything. There were jobs advertised in the window as temporary and totally within my capabilities. I asked about the job and was told they would call me. that didn't happen and i am still waiting for any kind of contact from them.
So basically i am a multi-skilled guy who was willing to work anywhere for any wage but they couldn't be bothered to even acknowledge me.
I worked as a contractor for nearly 20 years before moving to Canada and am registered with hundreds of agencies. I wanted a temporary job, so didn't ask one of my usual contacts for work because i could only work for a short term and i am not one to give them lies in order to secure a position.
My cv has the biggest companies in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, forestry and military on it and i have a reference for each one as well as a contact there also.This is in my opinion one of the worst agencies i have encountered. They are rude, arrogant and don't seem to want to get people back to work.If these people can't put me to work then shame on them for even being in this business. read more
