It's no secret that Riedel makes some of the best stemware in the world. Their crystal water glasses are amazing and if you've experienced the Sommelier series, like the green stemmed Gruner Veltliner, you get to see the best of the best. I used to sing the praises of Reidel. Not any more. The people at their website, especially Eric Cabanilla who is apparently in their customer service area, are without a doubt the worst customer service people I have ever dealt with. Why? I broke a $100 top of the line Chardonnay glass and purchased a replacement over the Reidel website. It came, and was a quarter inch taller than the rest of my now 11 piece collection. I emailed. No response. I emailed again. No response. A month went by. I emailed again, and they said send photos. I sent photos. Another several emails and months went by. No response. Finally Eric asked for a photo with a ruler. Done. No response for over a month and 3 emails. Finally, he emailed "Please contact me." I'm thinking "young man, what more contact do I need to make? Just respond." But I emailed and said "Please answer my several emails." No response. I've sent the glass back and purchased WATERFORD's new stemware line - much better and better priced and always available at Neiman Marcus in the same size as the one that you might break. Riedel Glas - Reidel has apparently changed the size of their $100 Chard glasses, so if you break one, your set is no longer matching, and they ignore you - Home Decor Near Me - Kufstein, 7

I only put a one star because I need to put something. But honestly they would get 5 stars if the rating was for the worst reviews. This last December 18, 2017, I bought my wife a set of Cabernet glasses. They were expensive glasses, but she's worth it. She loved them, thought the wine tasted better and was truly happy she has them. First week in February 2018, one of the glasses broke in the dishwasher. Right on the Riedel box it says dishwasher safe, and good for 1500 cycles. This glass was on one side of the dishwasher and nothing else near it, just to make sure nothing else would possibly brush against it, also, it was the first time through the dishwasher as I usually cleaned them by hand. I've made 3 separate attempts to contact Riedel through their website, with not one response. Now imagine my shock to go on Yelp to place a review on their "OUTSTANDING" customer service, and I read several reviews of the exact type of customer service that others have received......NONE!! This was my first and last purchase of Riedel products. My next step is to go put a bad review on the Williams Sonoma store in Rochester Hills Michigan were I made this purchase.
