My eight year old broke his adult front teeth last June. In true Luke fashion he tripped while running in PE and broke his fall with his teeth. We've had a wonderful local pediatric dentist who has taken care of us. But after the latest dental trauma (kneeing himself in the mouth (as only my son, Luke, could manage)) we were referred to Corridor Endodontics as it appeared his right front tooth needed additional care. After a quick consult a root canal was prescribed (which we will need to do at their CR location as Luke requires laughing gas). Reasons this was a five star biz: - Location is easy to find, plenty of parking. - Open M-F. - Wonderful staff. Dr Jorgensen and everyone we encountered were professional. - Upfront on cost. I love walking into an appointment and being told off the bat what to expect. Any bills that are medical and dental is just so intimidating and known. - Excellent communication. We were referred and got two phone calls with an email to ensure we had the paperwork in (available to be submitted online) and were reminded of our appointment. Overall, I hope we never have to see Dr Jorgensen again but he and his staff made a bad situation pleasant.

I seem to be feeling some infection 48 hours later which can be normal if you read the letter they give you after each treatment but I have confidence that she or they will address it today and tend to it in a professional manner.

I was told that my insurance would cover the costs of the testing only to find out that it was very clear that they would not. I was overcharged for the process and received nothing in return. Since the evaluations are not covered by insurance, they are free to charge whatever they want. I still need to see another specialist to get my dental situation addressed. What a waste of time and money.

I also got a reminder e-mail from the clinic that I should go in for more dental work to take advantage of the full insurance allocation for the fiscal year - or something to that effect. I don't approach dental care with such a financial gain perspective nor of going after work you don't really need simply to maximize your benefits out. Rather, I would prefer to get the work done that I need without doing excessive work or adding on a host of additional services that aren't actually essential or really needed. Having said that, Dr. Nowysz and her team are always extremely nice and friendly. She was great with my kids and I had a positive dental exam the one time I did see her. She also does charitable work for free in Latin America routinely and I have a huge amount of respect for that and her voluntary spirit. So I would recommend her, but be firm in saying "no" if you get the impression she is proposing additional things you don't actually need or perhaps get the feeling she is exaggerating an issue that might not be as intensive as she suggested (she had a high priority treatment my daughter needed which I declined as we were traveling and two years later my daughter's teeth are just fine, no issues so obviously the treatment wasn't that critical or urgent).
