Outings and community involvement /outreach/college student outreach etc was what attracted us in first place. The fact that it's not meeting in a church per se is another astuce as we believe the church should be out there, not within 4 walls. The preaching is Bible based, without shortcuts or deviations according to the world or current events, and practical which we feel is the most significant aspect.

Pastor Chris's messages are often grounded with relatable anecdotes and remain topical to what's going on in the world while avoiding politics. If you're someone who believes in gentle love toward your neighbor (even when it's hard), acts of service, and a desire to grow while retaining humility, you will fit in pretty well. Connect Groups are also a great way to socialize and form friendships that will genuinely push you toward becoming a better person. I feel extremely blessed to have found this place and to be able to look back on the progress I've made in my mental, emotional, and spiritual health through the bonds I've formed over the years. Even the children move enthusiastically and energetically with purpose and with a visceral 'love of Jesus' attitude. Wow! Additionally, they offer heartfelt prayers and beautiful flowers, especially during holidays or whenever available. At times, we, the public, are invited to their holiday specials and their rich giveaways - which have all been absolutely impressive. I've seen kids radiant with glee after receiving much-wanted bikes and other valued blessings. We are deeply grateful for the enduring witness of this spiritual empire, which has faithfully demonstrated the love of Jesus Christ to all who have come, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to all the humble workers who have carried out its mission with dedication. I love Pastor Kysha Thompson sermons and hope to maybe one day attend service in person. The church itself is small, which is a good thing because there is more closeness with each member, and the pastor. Sozo Life Ministries, also utilizes social media, such as Twitter, Periscope, Facebook, and YouTube, which makes it convenient for myself, and others to keep up with services and things going on. As for services you can follow via social media; live on Periscope on Sunday; attend in person on Sunday Morning at 10:00 a.m, or Tuesday Life Bible Study at 6:30 p.m.

It doesn't have a lot of members, the latest AV equipment (or possibly any at all outside of the organ), or the fanciest garden, but it's a church that suffered a huge split during the issue over the Episcopal church's first gay bishop (the previous one stormed out because he was outspokenly against blessing LGBT and took many with him to form one of the Anglican churches in the area) and lost a lot of members due to its support of the LGBT community. Even with its just-now recovering numbers and skeleton budget, it manages to support prayer and breakfasts every morning for the homeless, and its congregation will pitch in to support various families in need. A small community of Eastern Orthodox hold their services in part of their parish hall as well, and it's great to see traditions from both communities here. The Episcopal service has a very traditional service with very thoughtful sermons in a meditative environment. Everything these people do is earnest and humble, which I find unfortunately rare among places of worship nowadays.
