We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well here's mine: Parking: 4 Location: 4 Decor/ambiance: 5+ Customer Service: 5+ MAN... Mannnn O Mannnnnn... New Hope... This has to be one of the most amazing churches in the RDU area. The experience from beginning to end was top notch. Its churches like New Hope who are leading the way for this new age church. New Hope is such a welcoming atmosphere. I was able to attend church in a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a beannie and NO ONE LOOKED AT ME AS IF I WAS OUT OF PLACE! I was floored. I actually feel as if I fitted right in. I love the multicultural attendance. There is an amazing ratio of nationalities represented at New Hope. The word from the senior pastor was great. He was detailed yet easy to follow. He was engaging yet full of substance. They offer so much! They have a really sweet looking children's church! It looked so cool I wanted to experience it for myself. Just a few tips, get their at least 15 minutes before service time to enjoy the time to mingle. They have a full service starbucks out front and it was pretty packed at the 10:45 service. Also get there early to take advantage of the best parking options. With that being said, give New Hope a try. I look forward to coming back soon! read more

Another recommendation from my church in Georgia was to try out New Hope Church. While I've had some great experience volunteering at that church, I am now comparing all others to my 'home base' church. The main campus is quite large. Very nice and friendly staff that had shown great hospitality when i drove in. I put on my blinkers, as a new person attending, and was able to park close to the church. However, most of the parking in the area is relatively close. As i parked, i was greeted by a gentleman and his wife who took me in, gave me a little history of the facility and where to go from there. The ushers thought i was new to joining their team, not new to the facility...but i eventually found a seat. Unfortunately, there weren't any bibles under the chairs, so wasn't really able to follow along. There isn't any kind of 'staggered or stadium' seating, therefore the seat i sat in had a few much taller people then me....guess it was the luck of the draw. The story behind the church was quite interesting, as it was discussed during this time. Senior pastor Benji Kelley started this church because he went to explore other churches in the area, and had bad experiences.. He witnessed the senior pastors in churches turning AWAY people for stupid reasons. The band was fantastic, as they played in the beginning, as well as the end. Great singers, and even had some unique songs written by their own staff. The message that was being discussed was also very informative. Having teaching notes provided in the beginning so that you are able to follow along. there is also a large children's section broken up into multiple floors. The first floor is for the kids that are not yet in school (Infant to preschool). On the 2nd floor is for school age kids (K-5). They take the kids to play on their large indoor playground for app. 20 minutes each service, as well as teach them bible verses and all during the remainder of the time. Overall, this was a great experience for a church. I look forward to trying them out again in the future. read more

This is an awesome church and open to all races. Pasto Benji is Spirit-led and filled.

The experience I have in this church has been the best ever. Pastor Benji's philosophy of come as you are is very inclusive and his spiritual message hits home every week. They also create an atmosphere of worship with a sense of giving back to the community. We also feel at home with each and everyone of brothers and sisters as well as the staff. Thank you New Hope for giving us a new home to worship and get involved in North Carolina. Gino & Isabel read more

I love newhope! I'm a little biased I suppose, as this is my church but we've been members for about three years now and we grow more in love with this church and its people every week. As a volunteer/barista in the church's coffee shop (all not-for-profit, of course), I would personally like to invite you to taste a little bit of my caramel macchiato magic. Benji is an incredible pastor and he's surrounded himself with an awesome staff to provide great opportunities to grow in faith for children, students and adults. The music is rocking and the message is always really engaging (which is hard to say for some churches). This church is growing like a weed so I suggest that you come check out what the buzz is about and maybe, just maybe you'll connect with something deeper you might not have expected. read more

I received spam mail (physical mail) from this church and I called to ask to be removed from their mailer. I was told they have no control over the physical mail. read more

They have a huge area for children which i loved, a cafe with food and coffee, lattes, etc... Then the service was phenomenal. Lighting effects, wonderful singers and songs and the preacher was great! I got the full experience! They still keep me updated on things going on and sermons via email and mail. They are absolutely wonderful people! read more

NewHope Church - Churches Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

WAY TOO LOUD, AND TRYING WAY TOO HARD!!! Went here for the first time with hubby today, and even before the service started 8:30am the recorded music was so loud it made out pant legs move. Then within 2 mins the fog machines started and the coughing began, then a big show production like they thought they were auditioning for HAIR or something, Screaming, etc it was ridiculous. VERY VERY VERY LOUD, I almost expected them to break out in rap, Hubby and I lasted 2 songs and left. Our ears rang for over an hour and we sat 4 rows from the back and to the side. Sorry day when u need to bring ear plugs into church. I have been going to contemporary services most of my life but this is WAY TOO LOUD. So loud that it vibrated your chest and gave u instant anxiety. Of course we left. (took an hour drive to get there but so not staying) read more

newhope is a church that loves Jesus, loves the community, and loves the world. They are selfless servants. The messages are relevant, Biblical, and God-honoring. I leave every single Sunday feeling energized and refreshed and as though I have learned something that I can apply to my every day life to become a better person and follower of Jesus. Jesus saved my life and newhope helped me meet Him. I LOVE this church! read more

newhope's mission is Reach-Teach-Release. It's a non-denominational Christian church with contemporary worship and relevant messages in a community that embraces diversity. It is growing quickly and is an amazing place for people of all ages. I've been volunteering with children's ministries for years and this is by far the most age-appropriate and fun place for kids. The middle schoolers and high schoolers have separate services that cater to issues they're facing. And adult worship is unlike any other. The small groups and mission oriented heart of this church is spreading throughout central North Carolina. My husband and I have been there for almost 5 years and can't imagine another church home. It has truly been our foundation as we started our life in the South. The warm and friendly people make this church amazing! read more

We live about a mile away and have a small baby. On occasion, the music from this church is so loud (despite the distance) that our entire household is up, waiting for them to get done with their event. Would be nice if they were considerate of their neighbors. read more

Do not trust this church (I have heard them talk about you behind your back)! I attended for multiple years until I found out the truth. All they want is your money!! Benji and the church doesn't care about you; they only care about delivering a good message. Find a good charity to donate your money to and make a difference!! read more
