Our guests had a blast enjoying the resort activities before and after the ceremony, making it a true wedding weekend. A huge round of applause to the event staff who handled set up and take down flawlessly -- they lifted so much stress off our shoulders. This is a review specifically for the ski shop at The Ridge (my previous review for the accommodations has been moved to Ridge Holiday Inn Vacation Rentals). As unit owners we usually spend an hour reviewing changes to our options, but there was an issue with our reservation today, so we decided to check out the ski shop next to the sales and marketing area in the Preview Center building instead. This was a pleasant experience. They have a great selection of gear - helmets, goggles, boots, skis, snowboards and so on - at very reasonable prices. The person behind the counter was very helpful and answered all our questions. Next time we will rent from here instead of renting and hauling our gear from home. read more

Been many years since I've been here and had a bad experience before but this time things were so much better. Service and maintenance was helpful and prompt the rooms were spacious and furniture nice and comfy. They have sleep number beds now which was cool. A few small items such as no transition strip over carpet/tile entry to bathroom so the pokey nail strip was exposed and you had to make sure you didn't step on it at night on way to bathroom (which I did once, ouch!) we had a hot water issue a few mornings but they sent maintenance out a few times and the guy fixed it up for the rest of our stay. Also the parking garage was basically the designated smoking area so that was kinda annoying when you'd be loading and unloading your car, or even just coming and going it was terrible since the smoke just lingers and is strong. The security hut guys were pretty easy to deal with just show your pass and they open the gate to come in without you having to stop. read more

We stayed at the Ridge Creat and if I could give this stay zero stars I would. First off it was not handicap friendly which was stated NOWHERE when we booked it. Secondly my unit had a broken fridge so all my groceries and leftover dinner went bad the first night. I was promised reimbursement for my groceries which I still haven't received from my stay at the end of July. I was also promised a $50 store credit which I had to go back and complain about because they didn't add it. This place is big on promises with zero follow through. My disabled dad had a hard time getting around with his cane. The property had multiple heavy doors and steps which made it hard to maneuver for a healthy individual. So disappointing from a property that is supposed to be quality. read more

I have stayed in Ridge Tahoe several times. I think this is a much better deal compare to the hotels in the casino area. I just don't understand some of the negative reviews. If you want to relax in a resort, stay away from the the noise and large crowds and have quick access to ski lift, then this is the right place. You can hike around the resort or do snow shoeing. The gym, pool and the bistro are nice. So far I have not experienced any issues that are worth mentioning. read more

We have stayed at the main Ridge building several times and had a great experience. My daughter has also stayed at the Ridge View property and said it was a very good experience. My husband and I rented a one bedroom at the Ridge Crest property and my daughter also rented a one bedroom. It really was not a very good experience. First, the fridge in my daughter's room didn't work. She lost all her food. The unit my husband and I stayed in was nice enough, but we are senior citizens and our room was on the first floor up a flight of stairs. At Ridge Crest, you enter on the 3rd floor and go down the elevator to the first floor. Just to get to our unit you had to go through at least 6 doors. When we arrived there was not a luggage cart in the lobby. The problem is, even if it was available for us to use, I don't know how you maneuver it through all those doors and up a flight of stairs. Also, the exterior of the property needs a lot of work! read more

My family has been timeshare owners at The Ridge Tahoe for something like 15 years, and the conditions and service took a serious nosedive ever since it was bought out by Holiday Inn and has continued to go downhill ever since. I'm sure they are short-staffed, but I sat with the phone ringing to the front desk/guest services for over 30 minutes before someone could pick up. We needed security to come unlock the door in between our suite rooms since we booked both for our large family. Another time I had to call for additional kitchen items, and the phone had to ring probably 15 minutes before someone picked up. It took probably 30 minutes before someone could come unlock the door and bring the items we requested, and at least they did eventually come ... but that's well over 60 minutes of waiting for them that we could have used to do something else. The surface level of everything was clean enough to the eye at first glance, but they clearly did not look under the nightstand or bed. There was a GIANT hairball under the nightstand (not joking, it was probably 3 inches in diameter), and what looked like pieces of popcorn under the dresser and bed. Some of the dishes were also dirty and required us to clean them before using them. The knives were also EXTREMELY dull - to the point where I almost couldn't chop an onion and feared that the dull knives would cause injury. The shower head in the bathroom was so high that none of us could reach it to adjust it. Not everyone likes the water to spray straight down vertically and required us to stand really close to the wall in order to shower. I don't know who decided that was a good idea for a bathroom setup. The bed in bedroom was too soft and I woke up every morning with pain in my neck and back. In past years, the bed could be adjusted as it was a Tempur-Pedic Sleep Number bed, but this year, there was no remote for the bed. We finally asked the housekeeping lady, and she said the bed was no longer a Tempur-Pedic Sleep Number bed. I showed her the sign next to the bed that said that it WAS a Sleep Number bed, and she said that sign was wrong and took the sign away. I don't know if that was true or if the remote went missing and they just now treat it as a normal bed. Either way, I woke up extremely uncomfortable every morning and dealt with neck and back pain the entire week. (The other bed in the adjoining suite was still a Sleep Number bed with a functioning remote. But that's not where I slept.) Probably because of COVID concerns and an effort to reduce plastic & other waste, there is a lot less provided in the kitchen than there used to be. Far less dish soap and hand soap (although, you could call for housekeeping to bring more). The stairwell at the end of the hallway seemed to be locked - concerning as a fire hazard, I would think. We've had other issues like these over the last several years - again, a sign of things going downhill ever since being bought by Holiday Inn. (The kitchen sink handle wouldn't stay in the on position, the drawers for one of the dressers kept sliding open, items missing from the kitchen that should have been there, etc.) I don't know how much longer we will remain timeshare owners as the maintenance fees keep going up and service continues to go downhill. It's definitely not a bad place to stay, but it's far from what we grew up with. read more

I don't want to sounds like a miserable serial complainer with first world problems so my review will be written as positive as possible. I believe this hotel has potential; like mega potential. Like an ultra large amount of hidden potential that's not at all obvious when you stay here. It's not a bad hotel. It's just not a good hotel....yet. I stayed here via Interval. So exactly how much potential you say? Our home timeshare is roughly 993x better than the ridge at Tahoe. That's quite a bit of potential wouldn't you say? I can feel it from my loins to my groins that this place can turn it around. Rise up front the ashes and become a beautiful hotel it was meant to be. I mean I love how Ridge at Tahoe doesn't allow you to open windows. Instead, they just give you fans to recirculate hot air back onto yourself. I'm a big fan of the smell of onions and garlic, and on a hot day that you're sweating onions, this allows me to smell the breakfast I had and I am delighted to relive those wonderful moments through its wonderful aroma. What's better is that they have random subliminal messages throughout the hotel, it's sorta like a hidden Mickey if you're a Disney fan. I found one that says "Refuse". Refuse what? No clue, but I plan to refuse something today. And lastly, I've personally always wanted to know what it's like to traverse the halls of a nursing home from the 1940s, and this place allows me to travel back to another time. This is our third visit here but the first time since Holiday Inn Club Vacations bought it. Overall I haven't seen too much change besides the spa being closed. Not sure if it will come back or not. Located on of the mountain it can be dangerous to drive, especially during the winter if you do not know how to drive in the snow. Ensure to pay attention to the signs if snow tires or snow chairs are mandatory to go up the one hill. If you aren't confident in your abilities go around and go up through the other side (closer to CA). There are great views and plenty of activities to do. Most buildings have a hot tub and the main building has an indoor/outdoor pool. They also have activities that you can sign up for such as snowman building classes as well as movie nights. They have a van that takes you down to Bally's casino and back so you don't have to worry about getting a taxi/Uber or drive yourself. You can easily walk to the other casinos, shops, movie theater, pharmacy, and restaurants from there if you don't want to stay at Bally's. Just ensure to keep track of your time to know when the last shuttle leaves to go back to The Ridge. They also have a tramway to go from the lodge to the skiing area. read more

Tonight we went to the wine tasting with "Sergio". I've been to numerous wine tastings and this was by far the best! He explained things in laymen terms and was not arrogant in the least bit, down to earth and explained everything. The snacks he brought for us to pair with the various wines made such a difference! read more

We have stayed here a couple times now. The location is a bit remote, which is nice. As COVID problems are starting to wane, the Ridge Tahoe is starting to feel more like a resort again, with things like tennis lessons, movies, bingo, table tennis, billiards, pools, an onsite bistro, etc. The full suite includes two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a wet bar in the main bedroom. It sleeps six quite comfortably. The view from the room is unpredictable. One time we had a beautiful view of the sun over the mountains. This time we had a view of a wall. Sometimes we don't have enough bath towels, they forget a sheet, etc. They have been always quick to try to remedy these things, though sometimes it takes a couple attempts. For example, one time housekeeping didn't come on the appointed day so we asked for some towels and sheets. Instead, they brought us three sets of sheets, about twenty pillow cases, and no towels. Eventually we got what we needed. For our two week stay, our room was only "cleaned" once, and I'm not really even sure what was done. Nothing seemed to be cleaned, and the carpet was not vacuumed. There is no air conditioning, and the portable ones they provided are louder than a train, and pretty worthless. Overall there is still some work to do. They are working on getting hot tubs and a sauna working again, and mini golf is still coming. It will be nice when the full restaurant reopens. They are still clearly understaffed. My hope is that, as we distance ourselves from the pandemic, the experience will improve. Also, you just might see some deer out and about as you walk to your room. read more

This resort is at the very top of the summit, about 7500 feet. The bad thing is you cannot walk anywhere because the town is a 10 minute drive. But it is so quiet and peaceful that it was well worth it. The bar and the bistro are closed Mondays and Tuesdays otherwise you can grab a drink and a bite to eat. Of course the staff is fantastic. There is an indoor outdoor heated pool and we swam daily in the indoor section. The pool could've been cleaned a little more often as the trees dump a lot of debris into the water Our room was small but clean. After reading some reviews, I was nervous about the stay. However, everything has been smooth sailing for us! We are throughly impressed with the property and will absolutely be back! Check in process was easy and they were so informative. They provided an activity book, full of information and all of the on-site opportunities to engage in. They also gave us a map and explained the property. We love the ski in/ ski out lift that is available by the clubhouse! This is a huge perk for people skiing and snowboarding and makes it such an easy experience. The room is nice and clean. Everything was perfectly clean and organized upon our arrival. We have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath in Naegel 11 building. The only downfall is that our outdoor building hot tub is covered in snow we have to walk to the building next to us to use their hot tub and sauna. The beds are comfortable, closet space is large and a even a coat closet that worked perfectly for snowboard storage. The main and second bedrooms are separated by the living area so each room has some privacy. Each room also has access to the connected patio area. The washer and dryer are located in the pantry of the kitchen. We love having everything accessible in our unit. There are also plenty of towels for everyone. There is a small wet bar that is a nice little perk. There is even a plug in humidifier which has been very nice to use at nighttime. We aren't used to cold, dry air so using the humidifier at night has been great. There is an electric fireplace that provides a cozy feel and puts out quite a bit of heat. The shower pressure was nice. We participated in tie dye activity and snow shoe tour. The tie dye was fun and snow shoe tour was amazing! Jeff was great at explaining what to do and his snow shoe tour was super cool. There were 8 other people on our tour and he educated us on many mountain facts and made constant stops/breaks for the slower people. The snow shoes are provided for free by the resort! Such a great experience. Security at the entrance gate has been a breeze. You just keep your sign in the window and they wave you by. The clubhouse has a gym with free weights and machines, racketball courts, a pool, hot tub, billiards room, activities room for kids, and Bistro. We are looking forward to coming back! read more

The Ridge Tahoe and Perennial Vacation Club Tahoe Village Eagles' Nest Lake Tahoe is a "destination" holiday. Interval International identifies 30 affiliated timeshares in the Lake Tahoe area; there are probably 60 timeshares for trade near Lake Tahoe. We have enjoyed this unique area for several holidays. Lake Tahoe is located along the border between California and Nevada, west of Carson City, Nevada. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America. Its depth is 1,645 ft making it America's second deepest, (Crater Lake, in Oregon, being the deepest at 1,945 feet.) Lake Tahoe is 22 miles long and 12 miles wide. The tourist centers are South Lake Tahoe CA, Stateline NV, and Tahoe City CA. Most of the residential development is on or near the California side of Lake Tahoe. Of course, there are striking zoning difference between South Lake Tahoe, CA and Stateline, NV. It is immediately clear to the visitor in crossing the state line from South Lake Tahoe, CA and Stateline, NV. The preponderance of Lake Tahoe lies in California. There is great natural beauty surrounding Lake Tahoe, and there is the usual tourist kitsch in Stateline NV; although, plans are being implemented to replace the lowbrow shops with shops that offer merchandise to a more affluent clientele. The obligatory drive around the lake will be more scenic in Nevada. The California side offers small arts and crafts shows as well as more residential areas. There are two obvious airport approaches to Lake Tahoe. One is the Reno, NV airport; the other approach is the Sacramento, CA airport. We really do not enjoy the environment of Reno and elected to fly into Sacramento. To take advantage of the 14 days of timeshares, I reserve a Marriott property the day of the arriving flight as well as the night before the departing flight. We do enjoy Sacramento and made some time to visit "Old Sacramento." Sacramento traffic varies from very light to very heavy. We have found that California drivers are among the most skilled and predictable drivers in the U.S. The only problem we encountered with Sacramento drivers were the youngsters riding the smaller Japanese motorcycles. Several of these "kids" were riding in the small space between the cars. And with sudden burst of speed, these "kids" were changing lanes and "spaces." We were driving at 60 - 70 MPH. The accident occurred predictably, and it seemed in slow motion. A cyclist drove into the front fender of a young lady driving a Corolla. The cycle was totaled, but the "kid" walked the accident off; the young lady was in shock, and the police arrived within minutes. The drive from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe is very pleasant. Lake Tahoe is at an elevation of 6,254 ft, and Sacramento is at an elevation of 25 feet. The geographic, climatic, and ecological changes are very dramatic for a two-hour drive that is 117 miles. Of course, we required additional time for several scenic and restaurant breaks. I used the same Florida Keys timeshare to trade into two distinctly different condos at Lake Tahoe. We have long believed the psychological data that indicates that a holiday requires a minimum of two weeks to provide a positive effect on the stresses of life. We use ten weeks of timeshares as well as additional travel per year. Our first week (the second week of usage) was first confirmed by Interval International at the Ridge Tahoe, and our second week was later confirmed at Perennial Vacation Club Tahoe Village/Eagles' Nest. First, there is some altitude adjustment at over 7,500 feet, the location of Perennial Vacation Club Tahoe Village/Eagles' Nest (472 Needle Peak Road Stateline, NV 89449 775-588-2275.) We were assigned a unit that required climbing several sets of stairs with luggage and with groceries. The management office is not directly on property, and our dissatisfaction with this unit was met by a disingenuous and diffident management. Perhaps younger and much more athletic skiers during the skiing season will find and rate this timeshare much higher than we do. Even though several units were unoccupied, we were unsuccessful in relocating to a more hospitable unit. I often can trade into very nice units for two to three consecutive weeks, but this first week at Lake Tahoe was an extremely uneven trade. We prepared minimum meals at the condo and spent minimum time at Perennial Vacation Club Tahoe Village/Eagles' Nest. To this day we are uncertain if the management was responsible or if the Perennial Vacation Club Tahoe Village/Eagles' Nest was misrepresented in Interval International materials. We have since located several mistakes and inconsistencies in the Interval International hard copy as well as the Interval International Website. Consumers are growing much savvier, and unless one is trading into a name brand timeshare, multiple resources must be checked and re-checked to avoid holiday disappointments. read more

Was told by management that their van service would drop/pick us up from a pub down the hill. When we approached our driver dropped us off in the dark, on a blind curve, and had to walk about 100 yards on an icy road with no sidewalk or protection from cars. The driver stated he "couldn't leave the property". Even though the manager stated they would drop off at the location. Also attended a 2 hour timeshare meeting which lasted over 3 hours. The Ridge in Tahoe has been my favorite place for vacation! There's so many activities to do including my favorite art classes. Most importantly, I love the Ridge because of the friendly staff. Honorable mentions include Laurie from the marketplace, Francesca from the art activities, Kelly from the activities desk, Teresa and Jackie from the marketplace and Adam from tennis! Have stayed here a couple of times under their packages and promotions. This one time, I booked through Priceline and secured a much lower rate than what they offered. When I tried to check in, they said the reservation wasn't in their system yet as I had booked it just one hour ago. It was already past check in time so I went back in line. This time I had Priceline on the phone, just to get them to solve the issue. The front desk agent then said: "oh, we have your reservation, we just need to process it I house. My GM is doing that" All the while, we were anxiously waiting as we had a birthday dinner reservation at Edgewood. Finally my wife snapped and just almost force them to give us a room. And that they did, but as soon as we walked into the room, we could feel the carpet completely soaked in water. I don't meant damp, it was flooded! You could see the water seep up whenever you step on the carpet. We just got ready and left for dinner. Once back, we requested a room change after telling them the state of the carpet. Their response: "oh, it was probably just cleaned". What a lying, self-serving despots! They knew it was wet and they gave it to us anyway. It took an hour for them to send someone with the keys to a different room. Besides all that, facilities are looking deteriorated. Cleanliness is lacking, and linens are old and stained. There are so many others resorts in Tahoe. Don't give these prix your money. read more

This is a bait and switch con The Ridge Tahoe (Tower) is a very nice resort. I booked a week at this resort in September 2023. They are affiliated with several lower value (2 or 3 star level resorts). When we checked in we were assigned one of these lesser value resorts. They claim these resorts are all part of their resort, although they are a half mile away, outside the secure guardhouse area and a10 minute drive to go to The swimming pool. Additionally, the suite was filthy, see photos. I complained at the registration desk (a 10 minute drive, past the security guardhouse) and was told a manager would contact me regarding these issues. There's been no follow up all week, even after showing them the state of filth. Socks actually stuck to the floor in the kitchen. No one showed up too clean the place. Complete indifference. Terrible service. Ruined my mood for vacation. We Checked in and arrived at our rooms at 5:15pm. It turned out that one of the rooms was not cleaned at all after previous guests' leaving. Tips on the table, dirty bathroom, sheets and towels everywhere. We called the guest services and waited in the dirty room for about one hour and 15 mins. Finally, we were told that we were going to get new rooms after three follow-up calls. Then waited for another 45 mins for the new room keys. And the new keys turned out didn't work. Another 15 mins wait.. finally got in the new room after 2.5 hours. Second day: called at 8:45 am to replace a fry pan because ours is sticky and bent. Called again at10 am before we left. Got back at 7:30pm. No pan. Called, said will do soon. Called at 9:00pm. Was told they don't have a fry pan and need to talk to house keeping manager. This entire resort, so many rooms, lots of vacancy and some rooms may have an extra fry pan (the dirty room we were at has two fry pans) BUT THEY SAID : WE DONT HAVR AN EXTRA FRY PAN, WILL CALL YOU AT 8:00 am. Originally they put us on the first floor. We have a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. It was an absolute DUMP! Stains on the furniture, ripped and torn ottoman and ripped carpet in several places, absolutely disgusting! They did move us to the 7th floor which we appreciated and it seemed fine. Then we discovered it was locked to make the condo a 1 bedroom 1 bath. It took them 4 HOURS to open the lock off portion. Now we are being told the fireplace isn't working on the 7th and 8th floors so we are out of luck on that also. Its old and dated and we will NEVER stay here again! The good news is that our unit was clean upon arrival this trip. They had remodeled at least building 11. The new decor does not match the hard scape granite, wood and tile they left behind. They're trying to incorporate grays and cool tones into a very warm environment in my opinion. They took out a couple of Ottomans when they replaced the furniture. Those are sorely missed. The wing back chairs do not match and the carpet was installed poorly the transitions were already coming up in our unit. It was clean and comfortable though so if you can get used to the strange combination of decor you'll be fine. The bad news is this property continues to be lackluster. The hot tub was inoperable in buildings 10 & 11. This would be the fourth year in a row we've been to The Ridge where the hot tub was either not working or not hot in our building. We had to travel to building 12 to soak in the hot tub. They also still have no spa services as far as massages go. They don't even have a list of referrals to call for an in room massage. This place is supposed to be a skiers fantasy. You're supposed to come up here away from it all, be able to eat, drink, relax after skiing all day in a hot tub or schedule a massage. They have completely dismantled the hungry bear which used to be a great restaurant. I don't know what kind of kitchen they have for the bistro but their food is subpar. there are very few menu options you wouldn't be able to eat at the bistro I'm more than once or twice during your stay forcing you down the grade for food multiple times. There is almost no one working at the bar/bistro. Do you want a bloody Mary Sunday morning? Too bad bar doesn't open till 2 PM. The bistro area is in need of severe maintenance as you can see from the photos there are roof tiles looking like they'll fall down anytime and the bench seating is torn exposing the padding. One afternoon I came up to the bar to order lunch and the barman told me he wasn't open until 2 o'clock and I should go to the bistro to order. I looked at my watch it was 1:55 I walked over to the bistro to order the lunch I needed and no one was there. I said "excuse me" "hello" and finally at 2 o'clock I asked the barman if he was be able to help me get lunch ordered now? He did. What service! read more

Sad to see on a recent visit what absolute disregard the Ridge have for our local wild life. They got NDOW involved to set up bear traps right next to an open dumpster! Dated property! Neat ski area but 8 miles from South Tahoe. NO view of lake from Plaza building. Very High bathtub - 26" so difficult for older or younger guests, week shower heads and pressure. TV SUCK, very difficult to select chanels. Room hot so had to open window in 50 degree weather. Wind noice in halls. Parking garage tight. Glad we are not owners. Wont be back here. read more

I've stayed in the Cascade Tower twice this year (2019). Once for Spring Break with snow. The Second during a summer weekend. Loved this resort both stays! I requested the Cascade Tower the second time due to the extra large soaking tub! This tub gave me the much enjoyed relaxation that I needed. I brought scented candles to make sure I enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet. I loved that this building had an Indoor & Outdoor jacuzzi from the 6th floor Spa area; also a sauna & restrooms. To the exit of the 6th floor is an outdoor pool which is lightly warm- also a jacuzzi and plenty of lounge chairs, towels, and views. I highly recommend!!!! read more

The Ridge Tahoe has many buildings - tower, terrace, naegle, cascade, and tower in the main campus, and crest point and ridge point outside around the corner. Fantastic views, way up in a peak. Friendly staff, restaurant on site is good. Rooms are roomy. Sometimes they are short staffed and maintenance crew can take a while to respond. read more

Beware - extreme heat and bed bugs. Traded timeshare points to stay here for one week. We had two bedrooms reserved for our party of four. We checked in just before 10 pm on the Friday night of a holiday weekend. We were disappointed at first because our two rooms were on different floors when we had specifically requested the rooms be close to each other when we made the reservations months ago. When we asked if we could switch to a different room to accommodate being closer together, we were told it was a holiday weekend and that it wouldn't be possible because they were completely booked. Little did we know that one of the rooms was a complete hell hole. A burst of hot air greeted me when I opened the door. I should have known it was going to be a rough night when I walked in and the first thing I saw was TWO swamp coolers parked by the front door. One just blew hot air. The other was so loud that I couldn't sleep with it on. And I couldn't sleep with it off either because it was so ridiculously hot. The ceiling fan clicked and creaked. Windows had cranks with very limited ability to open. Once I did get them open, there was no screen and black moths kept flying in. Undoubtedly the worst night I've ever had in any hotel. The next morning, I went to speak with the front desk to request a room switch again. Same answer, no. After I complained about the room, I was told I would be put on a waiting list to be moved to a different room. I was #4 on that waiting list - which meant three other parties were having the same exact problem. I didn't sleep there again on Saturday night - instead the four of us crammed into the other room that didn't have any issues (besides outdated/ uncomfortable furniture & filthy carpet) Btw, the couch bed doesn't really have a mattress, just a cushion top... but uncomfortable sleep beats no sleep at all. Sunday night they finally exchanged the room. Now the room was in a different building, which divided our party further... but at this point we were thankful just to have another room that wasn't unbearably hot. Over the course of the week, my sister developed what I thought was a heat rash since we had been so hot/ sweaty before. We applied ice packs, bought topical ointment and even Benadryl... and nothing helped! It spread more and more and became worse. Then my aunt also started having the same rash. After analyzing them, we realized they were from bed bugs. Which concludes this review as the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. If you want to ruin a perfectly good vacation, book a room here and get ready for all the frustration you'll have dealing with the careless staff. read more

Very sad that they have destroyed the value off these units. They have NO air conditioning and have the window cranks removed so you can't open the windows! The hallway is a nice cool temperature and the rooms are like ovens - probably 85 degrees. They "Say" the windows are disabled for safety, but the hallway windows have stops on them so they can be partially opened, but not fully. Why not the same for the rooms? Crazy hot in here - we have a fan alternating blowing out the hot air to the hallway, then blowing in the cold air. Oh yes.... It's not that hot outside, so good luck when it warms up!!! We will be leaving early. Don't stay here. Holiday Inn has turned it into an unfortunate "mistake on the lake". read more

Worst hotel ever. Never stay here... their front desk people are absolutely horrible. Had to get new key card twice....still didn't workCalled and it took them an additional 25 min to get someone out here to tell us the battery is dead in the door...after the front desk lady hang up on me. It's a busy week but seriously? Sooo ya...still sitting in the hall right now. Let's hope the hiccups don't keep up this way. UPDATE We are here in July...not a good idea. No AC! No joke...it's got to be 90 degrees in our room. We went down the road and had to book at the holiday inn express. Having no AC is unacceptable for any hotel. It's been a miserable couple nights sleep. One plus side was that hotels.com called (since I booked through them) and they got me a partial refund. Thank goodness for them. read more

We've been coming to The Ridge Tahoe for 10 years now and each trip has been wonderful! We always get a 2 bedroom because they are spacious, clean and very comfortable. They have dual fireplaces, soaking tubs and everything you need. We buy groceries and lots of home spa products so we can just relax. I love the location, it feels like a real escape into nature! It's wonderful! I'm going back next month and may even head over this weekend. Look forward to every visit! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! If I could give this place negative stars I would. Here are my list of reasons why: We stayed in their hotel and for what we paid we thought it was going to be nice. NOPE, absolutely terrible. As soon as we walk in we checked a few things and had to call guest services. The ceiling fan shook and made noise. The bed is a sleep number bed and didn't work. This is also the most uncomfortable bed to sleep on EVER. It's a glorified air mattress with a pillow top. You get one pillow to sleep on and it's FLAT. There was a bunch of hair in our bed. Not one strand, a few. There was also hair on the towels. The room was so hot despite the ceiling fan being on and the window only cracks. The portable A/C unit they provide is loud. The toilet paper is also super cheap hard paper. This place is also far all of the action of the casinos in case you were wondering. I could go on and on.... Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. read more
