The staff was very kind. My baby Peaches came in for what we thought was cat scabs but ended up being fleas. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor was so kind to not only me but my cat peaches. They updated her on shots and got us in and out very quickly. The sign on the door was also so cute.

    After the revision,tight dry stitches.

If I could give her a 0 or negative 100 Review, I would. My dog had to have surgery. So on August 5th 2024 I took my dog in to have surgery to have some fatty masses removed. Doctor katsalis, the owner, did the surgery and sent my dog home with stitches that were loose at the edges and no antibiotics. I asked about the no antibiotics and was told , no he should be fine. After Surgery especially, I would think that antibiotics would be standard for either a human or an animal. Nope. This resulted in an infection and dehisced incision. The drain was left in too long which I found out later is a tube for infection and bacteria to go straight up into that hole. It's not supposed to be left in more than 2 or 3 days ,she left it in for 5. Needless to say we went back to get the drain out in August 10th and she said that the incision was healing nicely and that my dog had to keep the drain till Monday. The incision smelled putrid and I told her something's wrong. She took him back and she said she had to add some stitches by the drain. which was condescending because she, " didnt charge me for that". You just told me that the leaky, stinking incision was healing nicely?? I just paid around $1700 for you to hack up my dog! Funny enough she sends him home that day with antibiotics, Why now? I think she's trying to cover her butt because she knew she made a mistake. She knew my dog was in trouble and sent him home like that anyway. Needless to say ,the next day which was August 11th I had to take my dog in to the emergency vet in Highland because he didn't want to move at all and he had labored breathing., The emergency vet was very compassionate as he was telling me that there was no way that this incision would ever heal that it was infected and he had to perform the surgery all over again. So, now I have to pay for this surgery again and my dog and myself have to go through this process all over again. I had to pay another $1900 to fix her botched work. The pictures from after the second surgery are completely different from the first surgery he put the dog on antibiotics everything has healed fine ,thank you Doctor Wallace. In the end Doctor Katsalis refuses to admit that she made a mistake. She told me in 35 years nothing like this has ever happened ,I doubt that. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and she said in her response that she did nothing wrong and she would do everything the same way. I think that's pretty sad. She cares more about the money than the pet or the owner who's having to go through watching their baby be abused. She says she cares but she doesn't. I asked for a refund and she refuses. I can't believe she's that proud and that arrogant and she would treat her customers and these pets like this. Do not take your pet here for surgery. All she cares about is money. No apology, nothing. Shame on you Kerri Katsalis.

Dr. Kerri Katsalis and the Staff are the very best at what they do. So very caring and professional. I recently had to make a very difficult decision to euthanize one of my Pitts. Everyone of the staff and Dr Kerri gave me and my sweet Ozzie their attention and time. It was a heartbreaking day, but Ridge Animal Clinic got me through it. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thank You Dr. Kerri and staff

The tech (I don't remember her name) - but I would like to thank her for her caring and compassion, her constant checking on Pearl and I to make sure we were ok. She also took all of the info and presented to the Dr. which was very concise and complete. Dr. Rodriquez was also great - she was also compassionate and thorough. Never made me feel like she needed to move on - she talked in terms I understood and gave info on what she was going to do and diagnosis. I thank her for being so compassionate and waiting until I was able to stop crying before she proceeded. Thank you to both of these women - I can't say enough good about them and would definitely come back again. We waited about an hour and 45 minutes. The veterinarian was personable and examined Bentley. He provided 2 options to determine a diagnosis. We decided to have x-rays, blood and fecal tests, etc. to obtain a diagnosis. It took another hour and a half of waiting for the process completion. The cost was pretty steep at $965; however, I can't imagine not doing everything I can to help one of my dogs who becomes ill. I care deeply for them (I have 2 dogs) and vowed to care for them when I got them. Some would call me crazy but that's how I feel. I'm committed to helping them whenever possible. The good news is the tests are negative. Bent has food allergies and tracheotomy issues. We are going to put a body collar on him and remove everything from around his neck. I am then going to change his diet to ensure no foods are included that cause allergy issues for him. He's allergic to fowl, kibble, and particular treats. He was prescribed probiotics and metronidazole. I'm looking forward to helping him heal. Needless to say, I'm glad he's going to be okay.

She is on medication for this but we wanted to see what else we could do. For the moment we got there we were greeted by an assistant and then by Dr. Anders. We did not have to wait at all. We felt very welcome. Dr. Anders was so amazing with Roxy. Roxy can be really shy and become grumbly, but with Dr. Anders she was not shy at all. She warmed up to her fairly quickly. You can tell Dr.Andres loves what she does by the way she treats us and Roxy. She was so patient with Roxy throughout the whole process. She was also able to do a thorough exam with without pushing Roxy and make her apprehensive. With this consultation, we learned a lot of information about Roxy's such as her favoring one leg over the other, indicating a potential imbalance or discomfort. At the end of it all we were able to set up some sessions for therapy for Roxy. And we got information on some at home therapy we can do. Im so glad we have another way to help Roxy! I'm excited to see what the next month brings. I'm even more happy know that Roxy we treat with the utmost care at this visit!! Thank you!!

This is the WORST animal hospital I have ever been to!!…read moreFirst of all, roughly 4 1/2 years ago, I had a cat that was seen by them. They charged me over $700 for bloodwork & told me that my cat was diabetic. I got a 2nd opinion from a vet who specialized in cats. This vet took ONE LOOK at my cat & said, "Your cat has cancer." I was FLOORED! The bloodwork (that was a hell of a lot cheaper than $700!) confirmed it. Ever since then, I NEVER went back to Munster Animal for vet visits. Fast-forward to this week, I need to board my cats, & the usual places I board either stopped boarding or are booked. So, I call Muster to ask if they board & they say yes, but the vet needs to see your cats for a wellness check prior. I figured that's fine, both cats have recently seen their regular vet...they are fine. I do a walk-in & I'm already annoyed with them from the start! The girl is having an EXTREMELY hard time checking in 2 cats at the same time. They seem VERY disorganized. The vet came in like a wrecking ball--trying to scruff my cats, catastrophizing every little thing about my cats, insisting on multiple bloodwork & x-rays, giving them all kinds of shots that I had to ask, "What are you giving my cats??", jabbing his thumb in my cats' hipbone to "demonstrate" there might be something wrong...only for the x-ray to show nothing (obviously). And to add insult to injury, this "pre-board wellness check" came out to OVER ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! Due immediately! With 3% interest if paid with a card! WTF!?!? The next day, the vet called with the bloodwork, telling me that my cat has...you guessed it...DIABETES. AND that my cat is at risk of spontaneously bleeding out & MUST be seen back for treatment IMMEDIATELY! After that dramatic phone call, I immediately booked a vet appointment with my regular vet. They called Muster for the records, talked to the Munster vet, checked her out, and took additional bloodwork. Turns out my cat is fine. fat, but fine. On the day of boarding, I schlepped my cats to Munster to board for the weekend, only to (at the last second) ask me about this deadly bleed-out scenario the doctor conjured up. I explain that my vet was talking to their vet about it & I had my vet take the bloodwork because I feel more comfortable if my regular vet sees my cats about serious matters like this. They then began telling me how they can't board my cats because the doctor wanted to see the cat back due to the seriousness of the matter & he won't be back until Monday. I told them, just call my vet now & get the results & they argued with me that I "should have brought in the results myself." WOW! The male nurse (murse) started to cut me off, raise his voice, argue with me, & then storm off!! DOUBLE WOW!! I ended it by telling them (1) If this was a deal-breaker to board my cats, why didn't they call my vet for the results? (2) Why is the Munster vet adamant about a follow-up when I took my cat to her regular vet...does he not trust my vet? Or is this another CASH GRAB?!? (3) If you guys "care so much" about animals here, you'd understand my concerns regarding my LAST cat dying of cancer when your vet misdiagnosed him with DIABETES! And finally - being rude, dismissive, combative, condescending, and sarcastic to customers in a failed attempt to deflect from your own incompetence & ineptitude is not a good look for any of you or your "walk-ins welcome" hospital. I recommend the Hobart Animal Clinic as an alternative. Your pets might even live longer.
