The driver was so involved with arguing with me about the war on terror, that he got into the left turning lane on Chastain at the corner of Busbee instead of the right turning lane, the route to my destination. Instead of safely rerouting himself, he swerved across four lanes with haste, endangering my life without apology. When I finally spoke with Brandon, the owner and former KSU student, he challenged my account and didn't offer an apology not refund. This cab company is not worthy of the name "Owl," which it was given to associate itself with KSU. If a small discount is worth your safety, be their guest, but remember: I warned you. UPDATED: an owl cab just pulled up to a bar sans passenger with the van's stereo so loud, that it was vibrating the tables on the patio. The woman in dispatch called my phone at least 10 times leaving messages the I was lying about leaving my card and that I wouldn't be able to ride again until I paid. I finally reached my destination and called the dispatcher back with information from another account. She did not even offer an apology for the rude messages that she left. The lesson I learned was not to leave home without a backup card and not to call Victory Cab. And yes I am bitter and taken aback by this incident.

I called around to a few companies the night before my early morning flight and was told by them all I had to call 1.5 hours before I wanted to leave at 6:30am for the airport. That meant calling at 5am, and I sure as hell would not be up that early! When I called Atlanta Taxi Cab Service, I was happy to find out I could make a reservation and then not have to think at all the next morning to make a phone call when my brain surely would not be functional. The driver arrived exactly on time in the morning and was professional and courteous. Carried my very heavy suitcases for me. He didn't talk on the phone nor slam on the breaks at any part of the ride. It was such a cozy, peaceful ride in the Town Car that I didn't want to get out and deal with the airport rush! He said upon return if I need a ride I could text (no need to call!) and say my flight # and door # that I would be at. They would track my flight for me to make sure they are there to pick up at the curbside at the right time. Now that's service! It is about $10 more than you would pay for a yellow cab but you're paying for peace of mind AND the rate includes the tip! No need to worry about calculating the tip and taxes and service charges and all that. I paid a flat rate of $55 from Edgewood. Makes flying a tad more enjoyable.

And then if you're lucky by the end of the day, you'll get a call and they'll tell you I will send a driver back out, but it'll be Monday the following week.
