It is fun. Rockland Golf Course in Massachusetts is known for its distinctive layout and scenic…read morebeauty, making it a favorite among casual and intermediate golfers. The course features two unique 18-hole layouts: a Par 54 course made up entirely of par 3s, and a "Players Course" that includes a mix of par 3s and par 4s. These designs make the course approachable for beginners while still offering a challenge for more experienced players, especially with some par 3s stretching over 200 yards. The walkable terrain and natural surroundings of oak trees, streams, and rocky outcroppings add to the course's charm. Despite its appeal, Rockland Golf Course has faced some criticism over the years, primarily concerning its maintenance. Golfers have noted inconsistencies in course conditions, particularly in the upkeep of greens and fairways. There have also been occasional complaints about poor customer service, including issues with tee time management and unprofessional staff interactions during events. These concerns suggest a need for better oversight and communication from management to maintain the course's reputation. That said, the course still holds value as a local golf destination, especially for those looking for a more relaxed or quick round. The clubhouse and event spaces also offer picturesque views and can be a nice option for hosting gatherings, although some past users have reported mixed experiences. Overall, Rockland Golf Course offers a unique playing experience with great potential, but it's worth checking recent reviews or course updates before booking a round or planning an event.

They took our drink orders in advance so during photos we had drinks! One of the best rehearsals I've been to and the day of the wedding was lovely. Everything was great and all the staff are really amazing. They were genuinely enjoying themselves and having fun, which made working with them so much more enjoyable too! They brought us out appetizers for photos too and continued to help the bride and groom with holding drinks and flowers. Truly impressive. What a great venue and experience. I did not stay for dinner, as the ceremony and photos were outside and I was with the pup! But the cocktail I had was great and the apps were really good too! I bet the dinner is great. Then to be informed it's cart path only (CPO) after you've already paid in full and the starter tells you, is in extremely poor taste. Especially when the course and fairways were fully dried out with zero moisture present. Whoever made that call is a novice. That makes the round almost unbearable and be prepared to walk 6-7 miles if your drive off the tee doesn't land within a couple of feet of the cart path. But the running joke with our 4 some was the fact they insist on CPO, while greens had more debris and flotsam than New Orleans had after hurricane Katrina. Did anyone think of blowing off the greens with a leaf blower or something more industrial? I call BS. All that said, I won't be back there again in this lifetime. Good luck to them.

Neither my friend or I were carrying cash. No cold beverages for us. Again, the course is terrific. But the management, or lack of, is really killing the place. The owner should sell to someone that knows how to run a course. Too many second generation business owners are spoiled kids that don't have a work ethic. This seems like one of those places.
