I called Rick upon the recommendation of a friend. I had defrosted my refrigerator, only to find that it would not cool after plugging it back in. His website said that he works on all brands, and he accepted the job and said he was certain he could fix the problem, yet he complained about working on our Samsung. He came out right away (and big plus!), and he was nice enough. At the end of the first visit, he said we just needed to let the refrig sit unplugged until morning, for a full melting of all the ice behind the back wall and surrounding the fan. OK.
BUT, when I put it all together in the morning, the shelves would not go in properly because the back wall was not flush, sticking out as much as 1" in some places. The shelves were slanted and wonky. I called him right away and asked for him to return. He was obviously miffed to return, but he came out quickly enough.
Here's the horrible part: After about 10 minutes, he announced that he could not fix my problem--that there was some piece that had dropped behind. He would not be able to access it. He suggested I could call Samsung for help. When I brought to him the idea that this was something he needed to correct, because his repair caused the problem, he became highly defensive, closed up his tool box, said it wasn't his fault and he wasn't going to argue, then left. (There was no arguing. Simply firm insistence that this needed to be corrected by him.)
My husband had to make contact via letter, letting him know that we would like to avoid taking him to small claims court, so please come take care of his responsibility. He continued to insist that we must have broken the shelving, perhaps pushing on them too hard (??!!??), and that it was not his fault. Yet, he conceded to come out and repair--as long as I was not there! Whatever! I met a girlfriend for coffee while my husband dealt with Rick.
In the end, Rick found that he had not properly attached a single screw inside the back wall (not visible to us). All is well and working now, but NEVER AGAIN! Not using nor recommending this business. read more
