Dr. Russell Heller and his wife Monica who is the receptionist are both amazing!…read moreThe technique Dr. Heller uses is way more effective than most chiropractors. I found him on a website for meningeal release also called ABC or Advanced Biostructural Correction. He was the only one listed for Nebraska. Thankfully I only had to drive one hour. Some people drive even further because it's worth the drive. You can see the technique and its results on YouTube. I've had pain and fatigue for over 20 years, but even after the first visit, I had a lot of relief. I could feel the circulation immediately improving in my arms. I felt more balanced. My posture was better without me even trying. I have been less tired. (I had chronic fatigue.) I haven't been getting headaches. My back pain is less frequent and less severe. This is only after only two visits so far. Also he gave me suggestions on other ways to help my chronic fatigue. The office is very nice and welcoming. The Hellers are very kind and compassionate people and you can see they are living their purpose and they love to see people get healthy! If you have back pain, just call them, it really wasn't very expensive and it's so worth it.

But I've also been able to receive hundreds of acupuncture treatments from her in our years together, and I can attest to her skill as an acupuncturist and as a healer. She has helped me out of debilitating headaches more times than I care to recall, and with other problems I've had over the years. But I've also been witness to how skilled she is working with patients in the community clinic setting where she worked back in California, and now here in Lincoln, and what an asset community-style acupuncture is to a community. Especially I feel how healing work in a shared space (with other patients) helps break through the sense of isolation a person can so easily feel when they are injured, in pain, or sick or a long time. I love the way the Lincoln Acupuncture Project space turned out and it feels very peaceful being there, getting treatments alongside others.

It's a relaxing place to go, and I appreciated the description of a "community reservoir of calm." It is awesome to be with other people while taking time for yourself. I appreciate this place for making it simple to access a thousands-of-years-old healing practice that modern science has proven effective for various symptoms. Now that I know this place exists, it's going to be my go-to provider for a lot of those little health concerns that pop up, especially the ones that are probably too vague for a regular MD / drug-based therapy to successfully address. The needles are no big deal. They're extremely thin and not painful or so slight initially that you won't care. You are in charge of your treatment, so you can just try one needle and see what it's like, and you can ask any time to have any or all of them taken out. Also there's no blood, so put your mind at ease about that! Scheduling is ridiculously easy on the website. There's no pressure to come back often. Don't forget cash or check, and you might want earphones to listen to music. Your first treatment might be 20-30 minutes, plus all the time you need to talk through your symptoms. I could have taken notes for the self-massage techniques and vitamins she mentioned, which were also super helpful.

I have been to regular doctors, podiatrists, rheumatic specialists the works. I was filled with pills and physical therapy but still the pain persisted and throbbed. So I found his recommendation on here and set up an appointment. After the initial treatment my foot felt 'cooler', it's the only way I can describe it. It had just felt hot and very painful for a very long time. I've now seen him four times and on a scale of 10 I've gone from 8 to 1. I don't know how it works but it did all in two weeks. So if your a first timer, give it a try and if it works it works. He's completed 3,000 hours of schooling LA at a Chinese school of medicine including a 6 month internship. He has a proper medical license here in NE to practice medicine as a Dr. To become a licensed acupuncturist in Nebraska all you need is 200 hours of class, that's why there's so many poorly qualified chiropractors practicing this medicine. Hope this helps anyone out there who is struggling.
