It was their 2nd annual art exhibition to benefit homeless animals and many were there to support the animals as well as the artists. The artwork was beautifully displayed at ArtSource Fine Art Gallery at North Hills , which was the perfect venue to host the closing reception on Thursday, 6/30 from 6-8pm. The Exhibition featured over 30 pieces of art provided by over 20 well-known local artists. The artwork reflected a variety of themes as well as different mediums. There was great wine courtesy of Bottle Mixx , music, fantastic artwork, and adoptable animal guests at the  closing reception! Flights at the Renaissance and Rocky Top Hospitality provided tasty hors d'oeuvres and desserts! I thought the gallery although small in size showcased art wonderfully and provided the perfect intimate setting for this event.

There were so many beautiful and creative works of art in the gallery. I enjoyed the opportunity to view them. I felt welcomed to look around, although I did not intend to purchase art. It does seem to be part of the Triangle Cultural & Art model to welcome all, even those who may be unable to purchase original art. I discovered that there are installment options if there is a piece I was drawn to and wanted to purchase. I didn't see anything that truly spoke to any spaces I could fill with Art. I did purchase an Art Card and unique handcrafted earrings. I think you should see the Gallery yourself. Go take look around, thank me later.

There were no snacks and the owners stated that this was due to Covid. When I asked what they served prior to Covid, the Owner said chips and pretzels. They served cheap wine in a plastic cup, deer park water, and a few can drinks. My co-workers stated that the wine was horrible. The owners stated that we could only have 1 small portion of wine so that we could remain focused on our work. They also stated if you brought your own bottle in, you could only have a small portion, which ended up being less than half a cup. Our group felt rushed as the Owner kept reminding us of our time. Before we started painting the owner stated that they needed to change the music to more fast paced music so that we could end on time. Stencils were used and the Facilitator of the class didn't even paint along with us to provide direction. The one painting that he had up looked like another inexperienced customer painted it and that's what they used as a guide. They used paper plates to put our paint on. Usually at more quality events, small plastic painters pallets are used. The energy was off as soon as we walked in, but they posted the event on Eventbrite and we could not get our money refunded. I'm not even sure if these people know much about art. The only direction that was given during the class was letting you know what colors to mix and how to hold 1 brush. Trust me...don't waste your time!!! This place is cheap and that is the experience that you will get for $40. Be blessed!

Their art supply selection is huge, and they carry just about anything you could need. The customer service has always been excellent - everyone I've interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. And if someone wasn't personally familiar with what I needed help with, they were always quick to find another associate who was. I had the opportunity to experience the Art of the Brick LEGO Art Exhibit as it came to Raleigh…read more The exhibit is at the Pleasant Valley Promenade off Glenwood Ave so there is a large parking lot and ramps to make the exhibit accessible for all. The exhibit is shown in themed rooms that go together well as you see the creativity and imagination of the Nathan Sawaya. I was very impressed with the exhibit and plan to go back to see it again. My photos don't show how great the artwork pieces are as my camera couldn't capture what the eye sees. Over a million LEGO pieces were used in the exhibit. The art pieces cannot be touched but there is a hands on area at the end for those that want to build or color. I highly recommend visiting this amazing exhibit!
