A week ago, my husband and I purchased new wedding bands for ourselves. I found a white gold band in the design I wanted (5th place I had been to, trying to find one!), and the price was very fair. He chose a steel men's band with a center design. The band's design peeled off in a strip (it wasn't sealed into the ring), after only a few hours of wear! After reading all these bad reviews, we expected the worst...but when we took the ring back in today, they were VERY kind and apologetic, and hooked him up with an even nicer ring, at no charge! Wonderful customer service! I went went back in today. Sold my wedding ring, and put it towards a new one. The lady that helped me was super nice, and found me exactly the ring I wanted! The gentleman that helped me was also great, and worked with me on a fair price. I should have gotten their names (sorry!). I walked out a happy customer again! read more

I have had three bikes stolen over the years. Everytime I'll find it at the pawn shop. Old dude is rude as hell. Not only did I have serial numbers etc. he starts asking me or original receipts of purchase etc. gross. The whole place has a negative feel to it. read more

I went here to sell some old electronics (surround sound system, TV, and DVD player). The first thing that struck me about the store was how DIRTY it was. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a neat freak, but the entire shop was covered in dust and dirt and smelled like tobacco. It also doesn't help that this place is near downtown Dayton so they have to take security very seriously. The entrance is a long narrow hallway full of motion sensors and the place is locked down like a penitentiary (not their fault, just part of doing business in the third world). The staff was relatively friendly and quick to appraise and test out all my equipment despite there being a crowd when I arrived. I wasn't expecting a huge offer as most of my stuff was 10+ years old and I also understand this is a PAWN SHOP: they make money by low-balling desperate people looking for quick cash. That said the offer I was given was about 50% what I was expecting and the guy wouldn't even haggle over the offered price (he wouldn't even up the offer by $10). I was told I could get more in store credit but they didn't have anything I was interested in (most of their items are in "very used" condition). In the end I accepted because of all the time I had invested lugging 100 lbs of stuff into their store. Afterwards I offered to shake the managers hand and he was reluctant to do so, which just made me feel like I had been taken for a ride. If I were looking to buy a stolen guitar or fake jewelry this is the place I would go. But if I were looking to sell something I would stick with eBay or Craig's list. read more

The Old White Guy that was working the counter was extremely rude as well you can tell he just didn't want to even be there. Went in to try and get a loan on a Pair of Beats Studio 3s that are retailing for 300$ Right now. He offered me 20$ when I was asking for 50$. I have bought thousands of dollars in music gear here but have decided to no longer shop here at all.Every time ive ever taken anything in for a loan i was belittled and left without taking a loan...originally i thought well maybe my stuff wasnt worth anything but recently i took a 900 cpu in still in box never been used..etreme gaming cpu top of the line and was...talked down to,belittled and told it wasnt worth anything and was going to be offered a riduculus sum...and i was only wanting a 200 dollar loan...this store will no longer recieve any of my bizz and will tell anyone mentioning it to not waste thier time and go to mr. pawn where they treat you like a valued customer....Rich's is watching way to much pawn stars..so say goodbye to my bizz...my bands bizz and all bands and people who ever ask my opinion...worse pawn shop in dayton by far read more

Bought a pistol there and found out it was under recall. Took it back next day and they refused to sent it back for a free repair from Smith and Wesson and even said it wasn't under recall even though I had a notice from Smith. Got my money back less $200. Total crooks. First off, the guys behind the counter were talking politics loudly and even tried to engage me, a costumer, in talking about how horrible Obama is. Rule number one in business; only a moron talks politics to their costumers. Keep your ignorant uneducated political garbage at home or for your social life. Secondly, they offered me far below the 25% generally offered on a pawnshop loan. I brought in about 1500 bucks worth of essentially brand new gear. Low ball the gear would sell for 1200 on Ebay and I did my homework in researching prices. They tried to talk in weird code as they searched Ebay as if anyone with a modicum of sense doesn't know that they just search "sold listings" at the lowest prices. They offered me about 10 percent. I told them they were nuts and went to another more reputable pawnshop downtown and got the exact price I was looking for. I will never step foot in Rich's again. read more
