They use VERY obnoxiously scented laundry detergent, they are VERY loud yelling in hallway at each other, they didn't do a full 60mins needing to leave to talk to coworker in middle of massage, and they had audacity to tell me I should tip 20%. Recently I went to the spa to check it out since it is in my neighborhood and wanted to support the local business. I was impressed with my first massage, I decided to go back today. It was so relaxing, got the knots worked out of my shoulders and neck. Jean the manager told me to check out the website for specials, $10 off before noon and Wednesday special of 15% off according to Jean but the website indicates 10% off would have to verify. $100 off the package of 6 massages. I feel robbed. I live in the neighborhood and called before I walked over, I wanted a facial and was told to arrive at 11am. I got there and was immediately put in a room and started getting ready for my facial. The employee came in and asked if I wanted deep tissue or Swedish massage, I was extremely confused and said "I thought I was getting a facial?" The employee seemed confused and said she didn't offer facials (facials are on the website). I was completely thrown off by the situation but I figured I was already there, undressed, and on the table so I figured I might as well stay for a massage. She told me a 60 minute massage is $80 and agreed to go through with it. The massage was decent, but I highly recommend getting a massage from the place a couple blocks down. The masseuse kept stopping my massage and leaving the room when someone would walk in the spa or the phone would ring and she ended the massage at 12 on the dot. After my massage I handed a $100 bill to my masseuse and she kept all of it without giving me any change. read more

It was kinda unprofessional and yes, it looks like one of THOSE places since we only saw men enter. I mean no shame to them, gotta do what you gotta do, but the fact that they kept switching people and walking in and out of the room during our session threw us off a lot. I went here for a massage a year or so ago, pre-pandemic. While the massage itself was decent, and the price was right, I definitely got a little bit of a "shady" vibe. 1) I was THE ONLY female client. I saw about 7 other clients walk in and out while I waited/paid and every single one was male. 2) At one point in my massage I felt like my masseuse was trying to see how much I wanted. Her message went a little too far up my inner thigh than I was comfortable with, so I simply said "that's high enough, thank you" and she respected my boundaries. I tried this place out last minute. They were able to accommodate me. They offer 30, 45 and 60 min massages. I got a deep tissue massage and it was really great! The masseuse had an open dialogue with me- she adjusted the amount of pressure, effort and time spent on problem areas (shoulders and low back). I felt cared for & listened to. Booked an appointment for facials and massages 5 weeks in advance for my friends birthday and thought it was weird I did not receive any confirmation email or message. I made sure to confirm the date and time over the phone before hanging up and wrote the information down immediately. On the day of, we tried to call multiple times before our appointment with no answer. Upon arriving, we were informed that they had no appointments today and after a back and forth conversation they were able to find our appointment; however, we were informed that someone was on their way and we could wait until they arrived. Don't make the same mistake I did and walk in enticed by the better than average reviews. The dates on almost all these reviews go back to 2015-2016 which I literally just realized now.. AFTER I walked out. I came back to yelp to read these reviews after my massage because I was just so damn confused. If I saw these review dates I wouldn't have come tbh. Experience: Walk in after I grabbed lunch around the area due to some pain in my neck. Out of all these shady massage parlors in the area, I was happy to find one which 4 1/2 stars (out of date). I was especially happy cuz it looked clean and didn't look like a run down brothel.. well let me tell you.. I'm like 97.8% sure most of the dudes that come here are looking for something extra. Flag 1: she was genuinely surprised when she walked in and I had my briefs on. Flag 2: like one lady posted under her review here, she went a little too deep in the crack for comfort. I clenched that mess right up and I think she got the idea. Flag 3: she literally wouldn't stop asking me where to massage next, as if to hint and get permission for something. Even before she finished she asked me one last time, "nothing else?". I NOPED on out of there and let her know that we were done. In hindsight, I should've walked out after flag 1&2, but silly me thought this world was made of rainbows and unicorns. I'll definitely not be going back. There's usually a reason why I normally ask for a male masseuse and this just solidified it for me. A friend of mine, a masseuse worked here Sunday. I met her at Harmony Spa on Taraval Street. So today I decided to try it out. I paid a lady for a 30-minute massage, was led into a room with soft relaxing music playing and waited for my massage. Meanwhile, she went to the front desk. I almost fell asleep as I waited. The music and the neon lighting inside the room does give off a calming effect. I really enjoyed having my back massaged. The lady who worked there came out And told me to go for a walk and come back in 15 minutes.. which I did. I came back and there was another girl who they gave my appointment to.. she wAs a walk in.. The massage varies depending on which masseuse you get. It's clean and cheap. I typically give 20% tip, but today, the masseuse looked at me and said I should be giving 40%. She said 40% tip is the standard tip for an one hour massage. I've NEVER been asked to pay a 40% tip before. read more

One word: confused. Let me start off by saying I'm a massage junkie and have been to both high end spas and low key asian joints all over the world. Now, I was itching for a massage and was too lazy to go towards the city center for one of my more relaxing massage spots. So I yelped and found this place and whoa and behold it's half a block from crappy Sunny Spa (see my review on that). I walk in and first noticed a clean and inviting space, ok not bad for an Asian massage joint. My masseuse then enters my room and doesn't even introduce herself (I have no idea what her name is) she then massages my butt under the towel "whoa nice booty" okay... awkward that's a little too intimate for me but I was utterly flattered. She then starts the massage process and the whole time I was thinking what massage technique are these?! It felt like she was putting dry rub on a slab of porkchop. Also, with Swedish massages they tend to be more for relaxation instead of deep tissue which really gets out the knots but she was rubbing me so fast as if she was in a rush. She also massaged me in between the buttocks and very close to private parts (the most action I've gotten all year). At the end of the hour I was honestly confused if I just paid her to rub oil all over my body. I mean she was very sweet if that counts for anything? read more

Review for massage only: Getting an appointment same day was very easy. When I went to the place, the massage lady brought me in the massage room and asked me to pay first. I repeated it as a question & she says "yes, you pay first? Or you pay later" I said it didn't matter. She says "okay, pay later...No, pay first" so I just agreed to pay first and handed her my card asking if that card was accepted. She brings it out to the hall, I follow her soon after to make sure all she does is swipe my card & I see my receipt is already printing. When I walk out she yells so loud in Chinese, and keeps yelling when there is no answer. Another woman comes out of a room obviously doing a treatment for someone and she whispers "yes, it's okay" when Phoebe shows her the credit card and receipt (obviously it already charged so it's okay). The other lady says sorry to me and goes back in the room. Phoebe brings me back to the room & tells me to change. It takes me like 20 seconds to take my clothes off when I hear a knock on the door. I say "I'm not ready yet". She pokes her head in and comes in anyway saying "I forgot to turn the heater on" and plugs in the heater while I'm standing there completely naked. The massage was at most mediocre, and she exposed me twice. Not a little, but a lot. She was a chatter...talked about massaging people with dry feet and how she lost 20 lbs. They had an opening when I walked in and the therapist came in once I was ready. Her massage techniques were amazing! Place is clean, nicely decorated as shown on webpage, people are professional and rates charged seem fair in comparison to what I've been paying for physical therapists. This used to be my absolute favorite place for a massage...until today. My massager was great but kept leaving the room MID MASSAGE to deal with clients. That'd be ok it was one time and if my massage had a few more minutes onto it, but that wasn't the case. The massager had significant lengths of conversation with a client outside the door and it totally took away from my experience. I could hear the entire conversation!! I get that they seemed short staffed today and extra busy but I mean come on, I've been a regular for 1.5 years and I always come on time for my scheduled appointment and tip generously, and for that to be disregarded for a person who decides to walk in and take my massage time away is ridiculous. I don't even know if I'll be coming back now after this. She was so distracted and rushed she forgot to massage my feet! (One of my favorite parts ) I was so frustrated but I couldn't talk to her because she was on the phone the whole time while she was charging me out. What the heck?!? This spa focuses on making sure you are as comfortable as possible and that each moment is pleasurable. My visit there found the masseuse very attentive and thorough. The masseuse is attractive and at all times was aware or my response to the massage and adjusting accordingly. The rooms were newly redecorated, with nice paint colors, new carpeting and furnished. I only got a massage but noticed they are also fitted with facial equipment and humidifiers for other skin treatment services. The rooms was quiet with relaxing music, and I didn't hear street or neighbor noises. My recommendation is if you are looking to relax, have your stresses and worries removed, and leave rejuvenated this spa as very highly recommended. read more

I know, 5 stars, but when you consider whats out in the massage "spa' world this place is definitely a cut above. As they say " you only get one chance to make a good first impression" When I entered the front door, first impression was very clean, well decorated, good use of colors, a MT (massage therapist) was quick to answer the call, which is a chime attached to the front door, ask "how long will your visit be", on first time I always do half hour just in case im held hostage by someone who has no clue about human anatomy and how muscles and joint work. I was led to a room that was very large and very well decorated, good colors and an ipod system with soothing music just for that room, no piped in music and the room was clean with very effective lighting. I was given a very unique towel for my shower, I can only describe it as NOT cotton but an extremely soft material and large. I have been given cotton towels before that are so rough that its like drying off with sand paper! Back to the sweet fragrant smelling room and hopped on the table which was bigger than most I think, Im 6'2 and about 230 something LBs, LOL so I felt comfy and well supported. After my amazing massage I was hooked. I have been back a few times as I have lower back and leg issues, so I have a great appreciation for MT's who know what they are doing. I have experienced three of their MT's as each has a slightly different technique, ALL are outstanding, but 1 hour is the best im my opinion. As an aside, I also took a chance and had a facial, my MT and facial expert knew what she was doing she is amazing and explained each process in detail and very attentive.
