Nice quiet, and relaxing town…read more This area is home to Perrypoint VA, and few wineries, and historic homes. Riding through this town is always a scenic experience. I most recently was in the area to attend an event at the community center and it was pretty awesome. This is a great town to drive through for a calming time.

Such a beautiful town in harford county!! It's right off the water and there are several things you…read morecan do as a family or just a couple. There is several vintage shops, wonderful places to eat (backfin blues creole de graw, and even a place I just visited called water street seafood ), there's lovely parks such as the Susquehanna state park and the Tydings park that has a great playground for kids, you can walk down the havre de Grace promenade that also has the light house as well! As I said you are right on the water so you can enjoy jet skiing, kayaking and parasailing!! Oh and if you want to bar hop there are a few pubs/bars you can try and have a great time! Definitely a great place to stop and enjoy! A little history is: During the Revolutionary War, the small hamlet known as Harmer's Town was visited several times by General Lafayette, considered a hero of the war. He commented that the area reminded him of the French seaport of Le Havre, which had originally been named Le Havre-de-Grâce. Inspired by Lafayette's comments, the residents incorporated the town as Havre de Grace in 1785. George Washington stayed overnight in the town in 1789 on the journey to New York City for his first inauguration. During the First Congress in 1789, Havre de Grace missed by only one vote being named the capital of the fledgling United States. The early industry of Havre de Grace included oyster and crab harvesting, and extensive fruit orchards. Products were shipped to markets along the East Coast and upriver. Havre de Grace was a primary town on the Eastern Route of the Underground Railroad in Maryland, as slaves could cross the Susquehanna to havens in the free state of Pennsylvania, traveling on to Philadelphia and New York. Prior to 1840, escaped slaves from communities along the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay came to Havre de Grace and often took the ferry across the Susquehanna River to safe sites in Lancaster and Chester counties in Pennsylvania. When "vigilance increased at the ferry", slaves were guided upriver to cross from Columbia, which had been established by Quakers. The town's different transportation routes enabled slaves to make their way to safe haven in the North. Havre de Grace became known for duck hunting, and was a seasonal destination for hunters. They stayed at the town hotels and hired local guides to escort them hunting on the river and along the bay. Local artisans became known for their high quality decoy making, which is honored in the Decoy Museum of the city.

Apparently I am doing a remodel on my old apartment courtesy of my security deposit. I am being charged for damages on items that were never in the apt when I moved in. I am being charged for things that weren't damaged at all. This company obviously is trying to get me to pay for the remodel so they can increase the rent from $750/month to $925/month. Apparently I read another review of this place and they took his deposit by lying as well. I have to question the integrity of a business that would act like this. I could go on and on but won't. I am contacting the appropriate people to see how this is legal and going to file the appropriate paperwork and seeing what else I can do. It's horrible to take advantage of people. So I would stay far away from this company and any of their rentals. Being a honest businessman is not that hard to be.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. The only reason they have one star is because I couldn't give them…read morezero. I stayed at one of their apartments for two months, and had the worst experience. I needed an apartment quickly, so I looked over the fact that there was bugs crawling around on the floor and that water occasionally leaked through the ceiling. The apartment was this way when I originally toured it with one of their agents (dead bugs were clearly visible on the ground and in the window sills), so I did not complain because I assumed the management was already aware of the situation. However, after moving out the company charged me over $800 (more than a full months rent) for cleaning, pest elimination, and other services. Again, I only stayed at the apartment for 2 months and left it in the exact condition it was in when I arrived. Before leaving, I personally even deep-cleaned for about 6 hours in an attempt to reduce the cleaning cost as I knew it would be deducted from my security deposit. All to no avail, rather than receiving any of my deposit (which was a full months rent) the management expects me to pay an additional fee to cover their "expenses". I don't know if this happened because of intentionally malicious practices or sheer incompetence, but it definitely sets a new low in how terribly a real estate company can operate. I wouldn't be surprised if the company was somehow in collusion with the cleaning services as well. The company also don't except checks over any online system either, which is outdated for 2017. I think the only reason this establishment is still running is because it's one of the few options in the area.
