Honest family run business. Great work and prices are very good. I'll take my cars here before any dealer who charges big bucks

I've had my car there 3 times for service since they first opened their doors a few months ago. In…read moreeach case, I was totally satisfied with the quality of the work done. The first time, I had a coolant leak and the mechanic actually SHOWED me where it was leaking. Actually seeing the problem with my own eyes when the car was on the lift immediately made me feel that they can be trusted. They fixed that problem, did some other overdue maintenance work, and the car's been running much better now, zero problems. The only minor problem I had was that I asked for the parts to be returned to me, and they weren't. That really wasn't a big deal since my driveway isn't full of coolant spots any more. I thought the price for this repair was entirely fair. The second time was a problem that couldn't be duplicated when I was driving it while the tech was in the car with me. Ah well... They didn't charge me for that visit. The most recent visit was exceptional. I managed to get the end of a gas funnel stuck in the neck of my gas tank. This caused all kinds of problems when I'd fill up with gas at Kwik Trip. I tried to fish it out myself, but couldn't. I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they couldn't see it or get it out after allegedly scoping it out. The dealership charged me for that visit. I know they have bills to pay, so I was OK with that. On a whim, I brought it to the new Meineke (formerly Pope Autoworx). I told them what happened and that I wanted them to try to get it out, but I'd pay for an hour of time, no matter what. I told them that I wanted to save the part so I could see it. Well... THEY GOT IT OUT!!!!! The dedication, time and effort that they showed me in actually FIXING this problem impressed the hell out of me. I do my own oil changes and brake jobs, but for nearly everything else, this Meineke garage will be my first call.

We stopped by to wash our car and see what their deal is on memberships. Their system for getting into the car wash is a little clunky. Where we go, it's a matter of simply driving in. Here was less automated, which isn't terrible or anything, just something to note. The car wash itself washed our car sufficiently. We weren't wowed, but we weren't disappointed either. The prices for memberships were a bit higher than what we currently pay, so we weren't persuaded to switch. That said, if this spot is convenient for you--they'll get your car washed and have you on your way with some friendly conversation along the way.

A couple days after work was done I was getting a brake warning light on my dashboard. Checked the fluid and it was quite low. Topped it off and a couple days later it was low again. Turns out the two rear brake calipers were leaking. Would have been nice if Scrub A Dub had actually checked my fluid level and informed me of abnormally low level so I could have pursued the reason for it. Brake fluid was not apparent on the ground as the leaking fluid was staying on the calipers, pads, and inside of wheel. Today I went to the car wash which was relatively busy. I had an obnoxious female employee in my lane trying to upsell me a wash above the basic level I was getting for free. She's holding the list of higher level washes in my face and kept saying "3, 7 or 11? 3, 7, or 11?" just to shut her up and get rid of her I took the $3 higher-than-basic" wash. After she came back with the change, I started to move forward in my lane and she shouted "No, you don't go yet." Then told the car next to me to go. A real piece of work!

One family. They are so incredibly nice from the time you first stop in to when repairs are done and you drive away. They treat you like family, too. Their service is very trustworthy and reasonably priced. Work is completed as quick as they can, will even drive you home & pick you up if you don't want to wait. My Dad had a flat in our driveway and was going to change it only to find the donut was flat, too! We called Richlen and they actually sent over a worker with an air pump and he actually changed the flat to the donut right then, outside, in Winter. Went to the shop, got it fixed immediately! We go there for a lot of flat tires which they are quick to diagnose, fix, or replace if need be. I am Disabled and cannot bend or kneel down to put air in my tires, so I took a chance that Paul at Richlen may help me out. He was more than happy to help me and said to come back any time I needed air, which on several occasions I did take advantage of his offer. Never a sour face, just plain friendliness! Paul's wife who runs the office is a doll. So nice and understanding. You can talk to her about just about anything. I love this shop to take my car! What a nice family business! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND RICHLEN & SONS IN A HEARTBEAT FOR ALL MY CAR'S NEEDS! YOU SHOULD, TOO!

We were told that it'd be a few days before they could look at it. 5 days later they told us the work had been completed and we owed them just over a thousand dollars. They never called my wife or myself for this approval but claimed they did. They claimed the called my wife's number but spoke with a man. When we went in person to figure out how this had happened Jeannie(?) was perhaps the rudest person I've dealt with in my lifetime. She yelled at us for asking for an apology and yelled that we were embarrassing her and Paul in front of the two customers in the lobby. She then threatened to pull the work done out of the car and refused to let us leave? We paid after feeling threatened. Paul was nice and tried to help. Jeannie was the only one embarrassing their company with her antics and immaturity. This was a good quality place for fair dependable work, but after this experience we will never be going back, and I couldn't recommend it to anyone else.
