That's just the way it is. ‍ Well. Y'all. I didn't know who to go to in the New Orleans Metro area because let's face it. Who is really out there trying their best and who's just out to make a buck?! I reached out on social media for recommendations for a local mechanic to work on my transmission and replace the clutch and someone I trusted recommended these guys to me. LET ME TELL YOU I HAVE FOUND MY FOREVER CAR MECHANIC SHOP iN NOLA It has the Mom and Pops feel. The quality of work is Primo. They also have a couple of parrots in the waiting room too to keep you company like. Real ones that can talk & sing!!! If you are hesitant about where to bring your car- I know you don't know me - but TRUST ME. THESE GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL I drive a pretty rare sports car, and I'm pretty clueless about how it all works. These guys are SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE about EVERYTHING! Not only can they get all the parts you need (even if it's super hard to find) They will take the time to explain things to you or how things work or whatever , and by the time you drive away your car will exceed your expectations! I'm being dead serious when I say my car drove away from their place like it was BRAND NEW OFF THE LOT. I was floating on clouds. (My car is 15years old BTW) all of this wouldn't have been possible without those guys. I would feel comfortable sending my kids in and know that they are getting an honest appraisal of what needs to be done. There's no feeling that the bill is ever "padded." In fact, I have been talked out of a more expensive repair. They accept parts that I have purchased (I had to have a transmission replaced once...and they happily accepted it). The bottom line...they know their stuff and get the job done right. I can't imagine getting a better deal anywhere else in the New Orleans area. Even if you have to take a little longer of a drive to get to the shop, it's well worth the trip and you won't be sorry. Again...they just do it right!

All the dash lights lighting up. The car guys at work say its most likely the MAF sensor. I changed that but still the same problem. Brought it to the shop. 3 days later they call me, they found the problem. On the manifold, theres a bolt that fell out creating an air leak. He says he noticed I have a new starter. Probably whoever changed the starter thought he needed to remove that bolt. I go to pick it up expecting no charges but he has a bill for me. I asked why, since he told me the guy that changed the starter probably did it. He asked who changed it and I told him they did. "Well, why didnt you have problems for 3 months?" "I thought that same thing. My best guess is he put it back but didnt tighten it. 3 months of vibration did it." "No way my guys did that. Nobody knows why that bolt fell out." Im not trying to say anything bad about their work, forgetting to tighten one bolt happens. I just didnt feel I should be charged for it. Business ethics. It was a simple mistake, but its pretty obvious what happened.
