First of all, it took them 2 weeks to call back. They came out for an estimate, it was $6000 over the other 4 we had. We called and ask for them to send us a breakdown, so we could see why it was so high. They never called or sent us one. My husband has called twice and I called and spoke to Mike who said he would find out what happened and would call back. It's been another 2 weeks and nothing. How can you depend on them if they don't even return the calls. Any job is worth checking out and customer service should be your no. one priority in such a competitive field. Richie build a pool for us at the end of last summer in record time. A neighbor had started their project in May with another company and still was not finished after we were already enjoying our fantastic pool. He and his great team did all he promised, it looks fantastic and we can't wait to start using it again (at the moment it's January and as much as I love my pool at 35º I won't be in it) We did not have any of the problems people like Gregory had with Richie. He always answered his phone or rang back if he was busy. He was professional and fun to work with. We did pay our instalments as required. Maybe that helps. They even changed out our pool heater after we said, that there should be a cooler for Florida summers. Richie said there was and if we wanted one he would change it for us.. We had Richie Pools put in a pool and screen cage when we were building our house. They were very friendly and nice at first. The VP of the company came here most times and made promises to come back when the pool was a year old to do crack repairs and paint the deck. We have called dozens of time to never get a callback. Now a yr and 1/2 later we finally got Richie to answer his phone. He said he will get that work done for us the following week.... no show on either day that was quoted. Richie Pools put in a lovely backyard pool for us. There were some problems with the contractor they hired to put up the screened enclosure. Richie stepped up and got it taken care of. Three years later we had major problems with the solar heater. It turns out Richie did not use a manufacturer- approved contractor. And his fly-by-night contractor made some pretty big mistakes. So we have no warranty. None! Needless to say we were very disappointed. Richie told us it was not his problem. Beware of the subcontractors he hires! Proceed with caution with Richie Pools. read more
