The Deets: My regular barber I had when visiting Manhattan, David, moved out of working in the city, came down to Red Bank and works out of Old World Shaving Parlor now. I do get to come by and catch up with him once in a blue moon as I do go to nearby Asbury Park. Old World Shaving Parlor is a bit more upscale atmosphere than a normal barber shop. It lets you know you are in for a bit of a premium type experience just by the look of it. It has a nod to the old style type barber with a bit of style thrown in with it. Finally the owner called arrogantly telling me he had me on tape not paying. I returned and watched the tape, which in great detail, showed me paying exactly as I described to Fatima. Later in the day they apologized. Too little too late. I will never step foot in Old World Parlor again.
