I went in for a tummy tuck revision and breast reconstruction after an infection from prior surgery…read moredisfigured my breast. He did an ok job on my breasts, though his heavy-handed and uneven sutures have left garish scars, and he failed to do the procedure as we had discussed. My biggest concern is the botch job he did of the tummy tuck scar revision. He destroyed my abdomen aesthetically and functionally, and when I spoke to him about it he assured me it would settle and improve. Years later, the problems and appearance have worsened. Instead of correcting the scar, he instead removed most of my belly below the scar and pulled my pubis up about three inches so that it now resides where my belly should be. In order to do this he had to stretch my perineum which has caused other embarrassing issues that have made my day to day life and exercising uncomfortable. I called for my complete records but after five or six requests, failed to provide everything and he did not want to send before photos, and for good reason. When I requested an appointment to discuss ongoing issues, which did not settle with time, he refused to see me because I "disparaged his work." More likely he doesn't want his new staff to see the mess he made of my once lovely abdomen that 1) no doctor should have touched 2) he made worse and did not improve as he promised. He also did a hack job on one of my eyelids which pops open and makes me look monstrous if I am not constantly aware of my facial expressions. I think Dr. Bartlett has a great bedside manner, but if you criticize him he gets nasty and retaliatory. I also question his fine motor skills, because some of his stitches look like a third-grader did them and the scarring does not go away. I short, I now have pubic hairs and what was once between my legs, where my belly should be. I think Dr. Bartlett hates women. Way to go, Dr. Bartlett. He should admit and address his error, and he should pay for a flap to relieve the unbearable tightness.

I had my implants done by Dr. Volpe back in 2011. I was under 22 at the time, so I got saline…read moreimplants. Years went by and I started having severe symptoms. I saw every specialist imaginable to try to get some type of explanation for feeling like I was slowly dying at the age of 25. After months and months of research I finally came across an article about BII. At the time I had never heard of breast implant illness. In 2016 there were only 3-4 doctors in the US performing en bloc capsulectomies (procedure where your entire implant and scar tissue is completely removed.) After scheduling my appointment with one of the few specialists that preformed the procedure I needed, I decided to reach out to Dr. Volpe to see if he has had any other patience experience what I was going through... below is our email correspondence... Email I sent to Dr. Volpe's office on 8/18/2016: Hi Dr. Volpe, It will be 6 years this January since I had my implants done by Dr. Volpe. I am constantly asked about the doctor that did my implants and still to this day refer numerous friends to him. About a year ago I became very ill and have seen every type of doctor and had about every test possible done to find out what could be causing my symptoms. It wasn't until 2 months ago that I learned of breast implant illness. Once I did lots of researched about the illness I reached out to Dr. Susan Kolb in Atlanta who specializes in explant surgery. I wanted to reach out to Dr. Volpe to get his input and professional advice on the situation. Email response from Dr. Volpe on 8/18/2016 Hi Kaylee, It would be wise to come in and I would be happy to go over everything with you. Be wary of opinions that do not agree with extensively researched medical issues. Just give a call and set something up (remember no fees for all this). Hope to see you, Dr Volpe Email I sent to Dr. Volpe after my explant surgery on 2/23/2017: Dr. Volpe, On 10/3/16 I had my implants removed by Dr. Feng in Ohio. In August 2016 I reached out to you to get your advice regarding a link between my declining heath and my implants . I find it quite odd that in response to my email you advised me to "Be wary of opinions that do not agree with extensively researched medical issues". I'd like to know what extensive research you were referring to? Since I explanted 5 months ago a lot of my symptoms have subsided and the ones that remain are much better than they were before. After suffering for countless years with no answers, I will be putting all my effort into advocating for women who were not fully informed of all the heath risks that came with getting breast implants. In all the research I've done, I have yet to find any studies of the long term health risks of breast implants. That may be because there has been no research carried out long enough to prove the long term effects, but if you have information proving otherwise I'd be very interested to see it. Providing your patients with all the information, including the the percentage of women that experience the vast amount of negative effects from implants should be mandatory. If this information is denied to them before the decision is made to get implants, you're only doing a disservice to your patients. I have no complaints about the job you did on my implants, I think you are an extremely talented surgeon. However, had I known the information I know now about the risks of breast implants, I may have decided that the cons far outweighed the pros. The decision I made was based off the information I was given. Had I known differently, my health would be in a much different place right now, along with my financial state, and countless other aspects of my life. Thank you, Kaylee Silcox Below is the link to a letter I wrote to my 20 yr old self that was published by the National Center for Health Research. https://breastimplantinfo.org/kaylee-silcox-letter-20-year-old-self/ I'M HAPPY TO SHARE THAT ALL THE WOMEN THAT HAVE GONE THROUGH THE SAME SITUATION AS MYSELF, IF NOT WORSE, RALLIED BEHIND THIS CAUSE AND FINALLY GOT THE FDA TO PUT A BLACK BOX WARNING ON (ALL) IMPLANTS!

I'm writing this review for my daughter, who started seeing Dr. Sullivan when she was 16/17 years…read moreold. She had always been self-conscious about a small bump on her nose, and after hearing wonderful things about him from a nurse whose daughter had seen him, we scheduled a consultation. That consultation fee was worth every penny. From the moment Dr. Sullivan walked into the room, he was warm, funny, honest, and incredibly genuine. Instead of immediately agreeing to a nose job, he looked at my daughter and said, "You absolutely do not need a nose job." I respected him immediately for that. He took the time to explain why she was not a good surgical candidate and recommended a very subtle amount of filler instead. What impressed me most was how he spoke directly to my daughter, encouraging her to advocate for herself and clearly explain what she wanted. As someone who struggled with social anxiety, it was such a powerful moment to watch her gain confidence during that appointment. Dr. Sullivan handled everything with kindness, professionalism, and integrity. He was also extremely ethical. When my daughter jokingly asked about lip filler at 16, he immediately said he would never do that on someone her age. Later, when she was older, he still kept everything natural and tasteful. He never pushed unnecessary procedures and even told us to wait longer between visits because she simply didn't need more filler yet. The results were beautiful, subtle, and natural -- exactly what my daughter wanted. More importantly, he made her feel confident and comfortable in her own skin. Dr. Sullivan is talented, honest, compassionate, and refreshingly ethical in a field where that can sometimes be hard to find. I cannot recommend him enough. This review was a long time coming. I kept trying to get my daughter to write it herself, but between college and sorority life, she's always too busy! Many people would probably think I'm crazy for bringing my daughter for filler, but Dr. Sullivan never made me feel that way. He was just as excited as she was with the results. Dr. Sullivan is an excellent doctor and worth every penny -- if you're going to do it, do it right. I also appreciated how honest he was in reminding my daughter that her nose was already beautiful, but supporting her decision when she felt this would boost her confidence. He definitely has a client for life. Good luck, Dr. Sullivan... you may already know who this review was suppose to be written by!

Basically yelling at me over the phone. Front desk staff are a critical component of any healthcare, as they're the first person you see and can set the tone for the rest of the appointment. I would never want someone like her to be in charge of issues like appointments, who to talk to about bills, etc. Absolutely horrendous experience. The male receptionist sincerely lacks even a modicum of knowledge involving GYN concerns, he doesn't how to triage problems, he is abrasive, rude, arrogant, disrespectful, angry, he lacks empathy, curiosity, kindness, or even concern. Literally every interaction I have had with him, whether in person or over the phone is distressing. I had my first unpleasant experience with him when I called the office to make my first appointment. I decided to stay with the practice because I thought Anna Keshishyan was fantastic, and I figured my interaction with him would be minimal. Now I understand that he is the gatekeeper of the practice, and one must attempt to get through him in order to get to a provider. There are certain types of support staff who do not belong in healthcare, especially because when a patient is calling a doctor's office, it is usually not because they are having an amazing day and are looking for a sound board for their exhilaration.
