He and his staff were very welcoming, kind and knowledgeable and he was able to put the prosthetic abutment on an implant that was initially started by another Oral Surgeon who was unable to remove the healing cap after an hour of working on me. The staff continued to reach out after the procedure to check in and my mouth has made some dramatic changes since. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional yet super friendly and patient. I tend to get really worried before and during dental procedures but Dr Lehrman always took the time to explain thoroughly what was going on, pausing and stopping his work to reassure me and make me feel at ease. Another huge advantage of going to Dr Lehrman's office is that he is equipped with some of the most advanced equipment that I have ever seen. During one of my periodontal procedures, as a more typical tool was not performing as ideally as it should have, Dr Lehrman whipped out an extremely interesting machine that one can only find in France (pre-COVID, he used to travel extensively to dental conferences led by world renown expert and he was able to equip his office with rare but remarkably useful tools and instruments), so he was able to perform the procedure well and efficiently. Dr Lehrman's use of lasers is nothing short of extraordinary. Not only did I avoid an entire round of antibiotics following one of my procedures with him, but I also had very limited pain and swelling. Additionally, Dr Lehrman was able to spot and treat a completely different issue that I was unaware of myself, thanks to his proficient knowledge and use of lasers. Today, I am happy to report that I almost feel bad that all my periodontal issues have been resolved by Dr Lehrman, because that means I probably won't be seeing him for a while. Huge reason for that was fear as the last time I went it was for a deep cleaning, and well 'never again' right? 4. If you're going for periodontal work, it's already the future and tech is the way to go. 5. Why not go to the first periodontist certified to do so From the initial phone call with the receptionist (10 for her alone ), to the consult, procedure, and post-op visits.... service with a smile pun intended. I was assured it would be comfortable, pain free and so it was. Full mouth LANAP was done in an hour and change. Three little very bearable pinches on the surface of the gums for anesthesia (which was one of my main fears from '04), no sweat. Dr. Lerhman made sure I was cool calm ans collected the entire time. Explained what he was doing step by step throughout the procedure. Just from LANAP, within three months, my teeth have shifted closer together and my overall health has gotten better. My gums are as healthy as can be, mouth is clean, teeth stains from tobacco tea and coffee are gone! 16 years of unhealthy periodontal disease reset in an hour. I am disabled along with plenty additional health problems and even the accommodations to the limitations of my life have been attended to. Please don't listen to the trolls.
