Dr. Richard Morgan specializes in care of the patient with Chronic Kidney Disease, Acute Renal Failure, uncontrolled HTN and uncontrolled Diabetes, Autoimmune Disorders, Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis and Home Dialysis.
History
Established in 1978.
Dr. Morgan began his practice in the Brazos Valley in 1978, being the first sub-speciality to the area. He was an intricate part of the opening, operation and functioning of The Texas A&M School of Medicine until he reitred from Texas A&M in 2002.
Dr. Morgan and his associate, Dr. Dave Brannon (retired) brought the first dialysis clinc to the Bryan area with the addition of dialysis units to the cities of Brenham and Hunstville. Dr. Morgan subsequently became the Medical Director to the Gambro Healthcare Dialysis units and to what is currently the DaVita dialysis units.
Dr. Morgan was invited to assist in bringing Fresenius Healthacare Dialysis to the Bryan area where he served as Medical Director which subsequently becoming and is currently U.S. Renal Care-Bryan.
Dr. Morgan continues to practice Nephrology full-time, caring for those persons with Chronic Kidney Disease, renal transplants, hypertension, diabetic nephropathy, auto-immune, infectious and inherited kidney diseases.
Meet the Manager: Mary M.
Mary became office manager for Dr. Morgan after the unexpected death of his office manager of 29 years. Prior to her current position, she came to the area in 1984 was employed as an ER nurse for a local hospital for 15 years.
Mary assisted the Bryan Nephrology Center in the establishment of the first home dialysis program to the Brazos Valley and subsequently continuning to assist Dr. Morgan, Dr. Brannon (retired) and Dr.Tan (re-located) in thier private office practice.
Mary currently shares her time as office manager with continuing her passion as an ER nurse at a newly established hospital since their opening in 2013.
