They installed new hard wired smoke/CO detectors, out door lighting, bathroom lighting and fan install and installed a 220v outlet in preparation for my new stove. They were professional, efficient and clearly communicated with me before, during and after the work. They even brought "house shoes" - that's a big deal during mud season in VT! I have asked them to come back to replace some outdated wiring outside my house and in my barn. I am happy to tell anyone about my excellent experience, but of course, now I'm sure they will get even busier!

Seeking to install an EV charger I called Cummings and spoke with the owner. After a productive…read moreconversation he said he had an employee in Fairfax (my residence) and would have him stop out to look it over and give an estimate. When I heard nothing for two weeks I called and spoke with that employee. He knew nothing about it since the owner never spoke with him. Arrangements were made and he did stop in. Despite my having called the company three times over the next 7 weeks, I never heard more. At the fourth call the owner got on, mentioned how busy they were but they would attend to it. Three more weeks and still nothing. Guess they simply don't care.

Grace was very helpful on the phone, explained her rates (which were very reasonable and fair) and we set an appointment time. Grace arrived promptly and immediately got to work. She fixed everything I needed and even ran to the hardware store to get me a new lighting plate, since we were changing the amount of switches for one room. She gave me suggestions for easy and affordable upgrades to my existing ceiling fans so they would not need replacement. She is also a great conversationalist if you are looking to chat. Michael is an outstanding person, on top of being an almost wizard-like electrician. I called him…read moreup when my lights started flickering and he made space to get out to me ASAP. He took a look at my set-up, which included some DIY upgrades to the bathroom fan and lights. After a quick diagnosis of all-clear (with some minor adjustments) he proceeded to troubleshoot the source of the flickering lights. Heres where it gets awesome...he reached up to push on a light and I heard an electric fizzling sound from the other room. Come to find out that the wiring on a plug had partially burned away and totally degraded - crazy unsafe!! How did he know to push on the light?!? Wizardry, I tell you. Wizardry. So on top of saving my family from a potential house fire, Michael taught me about my electrical set-up, laid out some options for updating the system, and shared his thoughts on potential costs and ways to reduce those costs. All the while, he joked and had me cracking up. Not just good at his job, but funny as hell and an all-around good dude. No upsell once he got into the walls. No gouging because of my urgent need for help. No shoddy work. He even made sure to repair in a way that would be the most safe for a household with a couple of curious little kids around. Michael is the real deal. I'm excited to send him more work in the near future and can't recommend him enough.
