Not sure what's going on with this practice, but it's not respectful of patient time. Why you ask?…read moreSo I schedule my annual full body scan a year in advance. So it's the same day we get a little snow in Prescott on 18 Feb. Get a call, appointment canceled due to weather. OK, a little conservative, but OK. Next available appointment with my regular MD is three months out. Really? After I made this appointment a year ago? So I schedule with another MD. Why an MD? Skin cancer in my past that was missed by a PA at another practice in TX. So I schedule with another MD a month later instead of three. Get another call a week prior to tell me that the MD is not going to be in the office that week. Probably Spring Break. That should have been in the schedule. OK, make another appointment another month out due to my travel plans that I was working around. Just got another call that the MD is not going to be in the office the day of my appointment and wants to reschedule while I'm on said trip! I give up and tell the scheduler that I'm done with this practice not respecting my time and hung up. Now let me be clear, the problem is not with the providers, but the front office. On a previous visit to the PV location, I noted a lot of "grab assing" going on with the staff that was less than professional. They also jacked up the prescription by sending it to Express Scripts instead of Walmart like I instructed. This was a semi-urgent condition that I didn't want to wait for a mail order prescription filling. Well that turned into a CF. I had to return to the office after wasting time at Walmart since they had nothing on this to get a paper copy after the order was cancelled with Express Scripts. So when I arrived back at Walmart, my prescription insurance coverage was denied due to the cancellation. Gee Thanks! There is clearly a failure in the front office management in behavior, efficiency, and management. I hope this gets the notice of the practitioners so patients are treated with the respect they deserve. Again, the problem is not the MDs or PAs but the staff who is supposed to support them. The staff is failing the providers. Response Edit: Their response proves my point! It's a generic form that is not accurate for this situation. "We pride ourselves on ensuring that every patient leaves our office with all their concerns addressed." I never even got to the office for three appointments scheduled. I will not waste my time with a computer linked debrief form in their internet public relations campaign. I also don't utilize unsolicited hyperlinks as it's an unsafe computer security practice. Because of my sun damaged skin, I went in for my yearly full body check. The examination took less…read morethan two minutes, she barely looked at my skin and said "I don't see anything" and left the room. That place hasn't been the same since Sandy left. I won't be going back.
