We ended up picking Joleen since she was someone that we were very comfortable talking with and she had an amazing portfolio. Her prices were really reasonable and fit within our budget. We were really happy that she offers an engagement shoot as part of a package since we knew that getting comfortable with your photographer before your wedding day is so important! Joleen offers a great mix of organization and spontaneity. In the case of our engagement shoot, she was up for lots of climbing up and down San Francisco stairs and helped make us comfortable and confident so she could capture us really well. Her final photos for the engagement shoot were wonderful and we knew that she'd do a great job with our wedding day. We had a number of beautiful images to choose from for our save the date, moving announcement, wedding website, family gifts, and even a custom jigsaw puzzle. In the planning of our wedding day, Joleen was very helpful, realistic, and patient with us as we navigated our timeline. She was professional in providing expectations about how long something will take to photograph. She was responsive when it came to all of our questions and helpful in communicating guidance. On the day of the wedding, Joleen was on time and really helpful and flexible during the getting ready process, first look, and couple photos. At the venue, she did a great job orchestrating our bridal party and family photos. Joleen did a great job operating behind the scenes during the ceremony and cocktail hour. She provided the perfect amount of guidance during photo opportunities (like signing the marriage license or during the cake cutting) and was also flexible with impromptu group photos as well as the weather not being able to provide a sunset shot. Her sneak peek photos of our wedding showed her great eye and she finished our entire wedding album a few weeks ahead of schedule which we really appreciated. Despite her repeated claims that there is no evidence, multiple individuals have photographic and video documentation of her entering restricted areas. I've personally returned to these locations to further document the restrictions and designated pathways, contradicting her claims that these areas are open to the public. What's even more concerning is her attempt to portray people raising legitimate concerns as harassers. Questioning someone's conduct and advocating for the protection of public lands is not inherently harassment. While I've never been a paying client, my concerns are based on firsthand observations and documented evidence, not hearsay. Dismissing legitimate concerns doesn't make the evidence disappear.

Dream Killer NO COMMUNICATION…read moreThis woman took pictures of my daughter and her best friend as a memory right after we moved. I waited for weeks for: 1. The bill (we borrowed her mermaid tails and had only paid the deposit) 2. The photos. I never got ANY communication for the balance owed and therefore never paid it. 6 weeks later I contacted her asking for an update on the photos and she said she would send them shortly. 2 weeks later, still NO photos and repeated messages and nonresponse. Finally I posted on Facebook and got a response and she was mad that I had gone that route so she claimed she had already sent the photos without the rest of her payment because she thought for some reason I couldn't pay it. She sent it with a closely cropped image of an email that could have been to anybody and didn't even prove that it had been sent. ALL of our communication had been through Messenger and her email was never sent to me regardless of what her closely cropped message seems to imply. Watch out for this woman she doesn't have your dreams at heart. She is a vindictive liar who only wants to save face when she made a mistake and you tried to figure out how to get it sorted out. BTW I NEVER got my photos.

We sit in the magic garden in comfy old Adirondack chairs, listening to the wind in the pines and breathing in the flora and fauna around us. Each time we try a different beverage and sweet from the cutest little coffee shop! So far we have met Emily, Brianne, Devin, Noah, Robb and David! Amazing beautiful warm human beings! We have listened to soul searching and thrilling music played over the intercom system and also enjoyed a lovely rendition of O Danny Boy sang by an 85 year old local! Magic magic magic ! Do not pass up Mountain Sage Coffee/Nursery/Gallery!!!! Robb Hirsch' famous photography will take your breath away (his work has been on the Sierra Club calendar and he has rave review showings at the beautiful Majestic Hotels in Yosemite!!!!). We will continue our travels next week but this tiny historical magical place will always be in our hearts and souls forever! David & Lety truly are Film Makers…read more  The way our wedding film captures our wedding is beyond words. You can see the time, effort, and skill that went into every detail they captured. We also had a traditional Korean pehbek ceremony, and the moments still bring us to tears each time we watch it back in the film! It truly is something we will cherish and watch over and over again. I cannot wait to show our future children and family our amazing In researching videogrpahers, they were our #1 pick, but after looking at their website and Instagram we honestly thought "no way will we be able to book them! They're just so good". You know those amazing wedding videos you see on YouTube, that other people get to have but we're just two random people who never expected to have this jaw dropping piece that is ours. To this day, my husband and I can't believe that amazing film is us and we got to work with Capture Colour Films! Plus, getting to know David & Lety is such an added bonus to the experience! We were very lucky to have a small intimate wedding during COVID.
