The location is amazing! B&B Rialto is right by the Canal Grande, the view is therefore stunning and directly on the famous gothic-Byzantine façade of Ca'd'Oro. The district around Rialto is a bit away from the more touristic places, but it is nonetheless still very animated. We were just there, during the low season, and this was the only area where we were able to find a few bars open late at night. There are many good restaurants around, including Poste Vecie, the oldest restaurant in town (from the 1500's). The fish market is right around the corner, and this also includes fresh fruits and vegetables, and meat - we even found horse meat.
The hostess was lovely and the place felt cosy like home. We stayed in the room Burano, it was very cute and well decorated. The dining area is adorable, with a little terrace over the canal. Breakfast was good and quite generous (for an Italian breakfast).
Definitely a gem! read more
