Te Bach is a tearooms just outside of Benllech with stunning views of the sea. A small car park outside, enough for about four cars, but there is an overspill field to the rear. This was the best day weather wise of our holiday, so we were tempted to take advantage of the outside seating; however, there was one table left inside under the stairs, so we took that. There are about five tables inside, of varying sizes, and the décor was that of quintessential tea rooms: oak beams, white tablecloths, fine china etc. It was mid afternoon, so we decided on a plate of egg sandwiches to share, and a cup of standard and Earl Grey teas. The tea was most refreshing; the teapots were covered in tea cosies, and the fresh and tasty sandwiches came with homemade beetroot chutney, a perfect accompaniment, and a fresh salad, with peppers, melon, grapes, tomatoes, lettuce etc. A really tasty light lunch; however, whilst eating our sandwich and salad, the table next to us had just received two huge pieces of homemade lemon meringue tart; too tempting to resist I'm afraid! My wife ordered the lemon meringue, enough to share and so tasty, whilst we were also tempted by the apricot and white chocolate welsh cakes, a sugary delight! What a find, fantastic food in quiet comfortable surroundings, a real winner. read more
