The ABSOLUTE WORST office staff, ever!…read more They practice manager is very disorganized, constantly interrupts and is very challenged with telling the truth. If you have any concerns, be prepared to talk to the office manager who works at home with dogs barking and other "strange noises" in the background. Also be prepared to have your kids records in a complete mess!

We went in on Thursday because my daughter had a sore throat, that she was crying about. It's a big deal because she is usually a very tough cookie. We have both had strep throat more than once, so I am familiar with what it looks like. We saw the NP Lindsey and was told her results were negative even thought the look was very consistent with strep she actually had a NEW virus going around that causes ulcers in your throat. She continued to tell my daughter how she knows it hurts, she knows it's painful but she'll feel better soon. She also let me know in somewhat of a condescending tone that there was nothing that could be done about the pain. I asked several times because I just could believe it. She eventually said I could have her gargle with equal parts maalox and Benadryl, but only if I was certain my 7 year old could gargle. Needless to say I left furious, it just didn't make any sense. Of corse today is Monday, after my child has suffered all weekend, we get a call letting us know she DOES in fact have strep and her antibiotic would be called in. We'll just stick to our well visits with Katie/skinner. I'll continue to take my child to the children's urgent care when she is not feeling well.

We are going on 3 years with this practice. We may not always agree, but I have a voice in the care of my child and my thoughts and feelings have always been valued. If looking for a fantastic team to help in the care of your children, my husband and I highly recommend Eastern Shore Children's Clinic.

They were not kind at all to be working with kids. They weren't hateful but not helpful either. Waiting time wasn't bad in the waiting room but waiting for the MD was wow too long. We had changed insurance and hated to leave our regular pcp but insurance is a headache. We had asked several times from making the appointment til even checking in if they accepted the insurance and every time it was "yes!". Why else would we change from someone we loved right? Anyways, we handed over the card, paid our copay, and had what they call a checkup. Fastforward to Jan 17 and we get a phone call from them stating we owe over 400 dollars! Say that again lady? 400 dollars for a visit may not be much for some, but it is for us, especially on services that are to be covered. Not only did she have this aweful news, she was extremely rude in the matter. She talked over me and would not listen to me at all! She talked to me as if I had done something wrong. Mind you I do not want to pay an bill that was suppose to be covered, but this is my child's care and everyone knows not to burn bridges there. Anyways, this matter is still undergoing but would not under any circumstances bring my child back or recommend my friends and yes we have much better insurance now!

However, we left the Mobile Pediatric Clinic practice today because Dr. Savells made a decision to over bill for an service we didn't consent to and then when brought to her attention to make it right, she refused to remove the service she billed that was not asked for, consented to OR in any clinical way related the reason for of visit. The service that was billed was also not "delivered". Dr. Savells saw my son for constipation. My son has had a history of ear infections, which had nothing to do with why we were there on that day. We have been seeing an ENT for pretty regularly to keep a watch on his ears. Dr. Savells decided to look in his ears just because. She decided in one ear, without my permission, to do a quick sweep because there was wax in the way of her view I guess? Not any where near what I would consider a procedure, was surely not consented to by me - a very small amount I could have cleared myself with a tissue or q-tip. From talking to a family member who is a Ped NP, they do this fairy regularly just as part of their practice and do not bill as a "procedure". She then finally proceeded to see my son for what we were there for. On her claim, she documented she performed an ear extraction procedure which cost the insurance company hundreds of dollars. When I questioned it, as well as the $$$ charge it triggered to my deductible she refused to remove it, saying it was justified. I told the practice we'd be leaving. I've spoken to physician, NP, PA friends about this experience and not only do they agree it's not appropriate they also don't think it should have been billed for, especially without discussion about the "procedure" and my consent. She could have done the right thing, but she chose not to. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone who truly doesn't have the means.

I absolutely loved Dr. Williams, she was very informative and knew what she was doing. The nurse who administered shots to my kid was fast and gentle as well.
