We used Toanven photography for our engagement photoshoot / pre wedding , church wedding ceremony at St.Jarlath Catholic Church and civil wedding at Nella terra cellars. Also used their videography services which was also really great. When looking for a photographer , we wanted to make sure that our photographer is easy going, can help guide us and has experience with our venue. I discovered Toanven photography because my best friend used their services for her wedding and after finding out Toan had lots of experience at Nella Terra we knew we had to meet him. On our first zoom call Toan was beyond welcoming and excited which made us excited. He made us laugh, made us comfortable and answered all of our questions and broke down the whole process. Before the wedding Toan helped us better plan our timeline for photos and took his time to understand what were the "must have photos". He gave us alternatives on how we can still get pictures with others and saving time. His advice on a family shot list was super helpful as well. On wedding day Toan was just the person I needed around me with all the craziness of wedding day. His personality bring calmness and he is quick to think if a photo location doesn't work well for the lighting - he found better positioning and areas for the photos the look flawless. Beyond helpful when it came to posing, how to stand , where to look and capture all the right angles. Lastly, Depending on the package you go for, you will get a set number of edits photos and our photos were so amazing it was hard to reach the number of edits we can use. I hired Joel to photograph my son's wedding reception. I had explained ahead of time that the event…read morewas in a banquet room with low lighting and lots of bright colors, and that it was important to me that he capture photos of our family as well as all the guests. In that respect, Joel did a very good job. He photographed the newlyweds, the guests, and the performances thoroughly, and he worked quietly and unobtrusively throughout the evening. However, there were very few pictures of our family. I wished he had focused on getting more family pictures. The reason I am giving a 4-star review rather than 5 is due to a lack of clarity around post-processing. It was not communicated beforehand that the photos would be largely unedited. While the lighting was adjusted, many images ended up overexposed, and there were several distracting background elements--such as podiums, backpacks, and visible wires--that I had expected would be edited out. When I asked about this, I was told that additional editing would cost extra. There was also a lot of emphasis on a complimentary drone photo of the entire party, which unfortunately was not feasible since the event was indoors. I wish the focus had instead been on clearly explaining what level of editing was included and taking more family pictures. Overall, if you are looking for someone to efficiently cover an event and capture everyone present, Joel does a solid job. If you want more detailed editing or a specific finished look, I would strongly recommend clarifying those expectations in advance. I read many Yelp reviews before hiring him and did not see this mentioned, so I felt it was important to share.

Although it came as no surprise, Ethan was nothing but professional, extremely accommodating, a pleasure to be around (and with a positive attitude), and obviously... his pictures captured perfectly the moments, the "feelings" and style of our wedding day. And, while I paid via mailed check they have an easy online payment system. I hired VR Squad to do the DJ/sound, uplighting, and Event Photography for my company's Corporate Annual Holiday Party. I like how they're a "one stop shop", when previously I've had to hire multiple different vendors to do all of these services. I like how fast they are to respond. It is clear that they do many similar events, and I would have to give them bonus points for already having worked at our event venue, because they instantly knew what equipment to bring and the room layout. We decided to do a cake smash Photoshoot for our baby's 1 year birthday. After seeing the many cute…read morecake smash backgrounds that Tangram Studio had, we decided to book with them! Ted was very responsive and we were able to book an appointment for the following week (we took a day off in the middle of the week). We also decided to do the add on for family and pets. I LOVE that there's an option to include our furry family members! As much as I tried to plan ahead and get to the studio in time that day, my baby decided to fight his nap that morning. He eventually fell asleep.. but way too close to the time we had to leave. I reached out to Ted ASAP to ask if there was flexibility to push the photoshoot back a bit so my baby could take an hour nap so he's less likely to be fussy during the photoshoot. He had another scheduled shoot after ours but was flexible for us to come a bit later than scheduled which I was very grateful for! When we got to the studio, the cake smash background was already set up! The studio was so clean! There was a room for us to change the baby and put all our stuff in - there was also a changing table and diaper pail in there! Ted and his assistant were so great with our dogs and baby! They were patient and knew how to get our baby to laugh and look at the camera. There were a few times where I was ready to give up because handling a baby and two dogs for a photoshoot was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be! Ted was so patient with them and continuing to try his best to take the perfect shot for us. I really appreciated that because there were some amazing photos we would have missed out on if not for Ted! Cleanup was super easy - we brought wipes to wipe our baby down and then took him to the bathroom to do a quick rinse before leaving. I was surprised that we got our proof gallery two days later! The unedited proof gallery pictures were honestly high quality and I would not have known they were unedited if they didn't tell me! We received our edited photos 2 weeks later. I was so happy with the fast turnaround time! I asked Ted if he could fix my hair in the family pictures and he was able to do so for me (thank you!!). I'd absolutely come back for another photoshoot in the future and would highly recommend Tangram!
