I stumbled upon a beautiful building with one of my favorite fitness brands in the window. I thought I have found exactly what I was looking for! I was in a rush, so I looked them up online. They had a wonderful website making them seem down to earth and chic. After running errands all day, I wanted to attend a yoga class in the afternoon sometime. I went to the place of business on a Tuesday afternoon.. Not knowing which door to enter, naturally, I walked into the first one I saw. The woman sitting at the front desk had no problem letting me know that I have walked into the wrong door and walked me over to the "shop" area she called it.... I felt like it was the walk of shame. It was VERY unwelcoming in the most awkward way possible. There was another gal teaching Pilates it looked like... And gave me an icky look. It was almost like they were punishing me for going into the wrong door. I tried to lighten the mood by asking about the business, how long they have been there, etc... She had no problem telling me how wonderful it was there. I was guided into the shop area where another gal sat. They had some cute clothes, could have had more selection. I asked about the "style bar" I guess they don't have a stylist. The whole place was odd and unorganized. Now, the reason I was inquiring about the business in the first place, I asked about the fitness classes. They didn't have one for me to take that evening. Okay? So I asked what other yoga classes they offer and there was not any. I decided, if you work for a living, there are no yoga classes for you. On top of that.. It is $90/ month if you sign a 1 year contract!!!!! So outrageous! This place is for the wealthy and they made it seem that way for sure. And not to mention, I make great money. My appearance did not show it by my hair a mess in a bun and not wearing a smudge of makeup.. I was probably kind of sweaty from running errands all morning too!! They acted like, "well you can't afford this anyways.. You are wasting my time." This beautiful studio is placed in a beautiful downtown.. Filled with ugly people. Not one person who worked here was friendly.. They filled me with fake smiles and I will never go in that place ever again. I just feel businesses that cater to the "privileged" should not be around.

Huge space to hang with friends inside as well as a great outdoor area that would be perfect place to hang on nice nights. We tried the chips and queso, pork belly taco, beef taco and the beef empanada. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The pork belly had a nice subtle smokiness to it. The beef taco had the perfect amount of background spice. And the empanada dough was flaky and crisp. Add to it friendly owners and this family run business should be on anyone's list to visit!

When we went to ask what was up we received no apology from the owner/chef. A simple "sorry for the long wait" would have made a difference but they couldn't bring themselves to offer it. To make things worse, as we were leaving we saw one of the waiters, delivering a tray of food, take a moment to turn his head and spit out a huge ball of phlegm in the outside eating area before handing off the food to a customer. Never seen anything like it. Worse still, we went to share this experience with the owner/chef and they once again did not apologise or take any responsibility. Just fobbed us off like that didn't matter! Seriously shocking lack of basic customer service and food hygiene. When the waiter saw us telling the owner (his dad btw) about what we witnessed, he smirked and said he'd "been swallowing it all day"! So, if you want to eat lunch in Thomasville, you'll probably want to steer we'll clear of this place. Do yourself a favour and try Liam's - all the staff are friendly, amazing customer service, and epic food.
