Elevator was a classic with push buttons that I haven't seen in an elevator in years. The hallway to our hotel room was nice and clean The room had two double beds and was clean. They even had an easy clean TV remote for the TV set. Slim LCD TV, Telemax Hotel phone system and the bathroom clean. Wifi is a bit of a challenge. You always have to log in if you are not using the internet after so many hours. The restaurant at the end of the hallway in the hotel was a bit pricey. More on that in my next review. I like the Best Western Chain and this location hasn't let me down. The hotel is much more cheery than when you drive downtown on a cold winters dreary day in Trail.

He instantly earned my trust, and made the entire time we were there enjoyable by providing suggestions to what was around for a family of weary travelers. The location itself looks a little old and dated on the outside, which made me second guess the help I received over the phone from Aaron, but I knew he had my back, and when I walked in I instantly felt that the stay was going to be alright. It met our expectations, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was there for us as well. Thanks for an enjoyable stay, its employees line Aaron that will keep people returning!

The portions are generous and their prices are reasonable. The server was helpful and attentive without being bothersome. They have several TV's if you would like to watch sports and they have a full bar to complement their beer and wine selections. Highly recommend them if you are in the area stop in.

There's an outdoor and indoor pool which is a plus depending on the season. There's plenty of parking. Location-wise, it's fairly close to a mall with a Tim Burtons, and a short drive to downtown Trail. It's a very good place to stay for those traveling through or visiting the area. Although its along a busy road, I could barely hear any traffic inside the room.

The floors. I really can't get past the floors…read more It's nasty old 1970 carpet that smells like wet dog and stinky feet. These are all ground floor units, so there's really no reason not to pull the carpet and put in some cheap Pergo or something. Even tile would be better than this nasty, sticky carpet. The bathroom IS tile, but the floors hadn't been cleaned in ages and were covered in dust. Cleanliness was meh everywhere else, too. There was poop on the underside of the toilet seat. There was food all over the top inside of the microwave, and what I thought was mold in the door. It smelled TERRIBLE. Cleaning staff said it's the lemon cleaner they use on everything in the room. You can't use that inside a microwave! Everything came out smelling like the cleaner. I requested a replacement. They brought another but it had the same problem, so I just didn't use it. The furniture is dirty and outdated. All the handles are sticky. The AC sounded like a semi engine every time it kicked on. I pulled the two front vents on it: They were COVERED in dust and dog hair. Nasty. Cleaned it out in the tub and Lysolled the crap out of it. The "free cable" consists of 400+ channels--of which you can view only about 60. It's awful, basic cable. Volume is set to not exceed 34, so good luck hearing that over the roaring AC. The refrigerator wasn't cold enough to keep things cold, even turned all the way up. I had about $80 worth of groceries I bought for my 4-day stay, so I explained the problem and asked for a replacement. Instead of replacing it, they decided it was a broken shelf that was the problem. Yeah, that wasn't the problem. So I had to ask AGAIN for a replacement. They did finally bring me one, which worked perfectly. The bed was sagging heavily in both left and right spots, and I was forced to sleep in the middle hump, which was still somewhat firm. I rolled off a few times during the night into the saggy spots. Pillows are good, with a variety of thicknesses. The AC blasts right over the bed though, and there is no way to direct the flow of air away, so I had to make a wall with the pillows. Wifi is good, but I was unable to upload a very short video to my blog, so they must have limits on download / upload size. I had to do it from my phone. It is a pet-friendly motel, but there is no decent place for them to walk or potty. Just rocks, dirt, and weeds. No place to walk them, either. It is NOT a no-smoking motel--it just has no-smoking rooms. There are two chairs and ashtrays outside in front of every door. That means everyone is smoking out there, and the AC just sucks the smoke right in to your room, even when someone is just walking by. They get two stars instead of one because the staff is very nice, there was good parking, the price was cheap, and they have an outdoor pool that had no kids in it.

The bathroom was recently updated and spotless. The owners were pleasant and were happy to accommodate both a very early check-in and a late check out without any extra charges. My only complaint-- some of my neighbors smoked right outside their rooms, and the smoke blew into our open window.
