We saw two different movies here in April. Convenient location, near lots of great restaurants…read more Definitely recommend springing for the premium seats if your theatre has them, because they're super comfy. (Book early! They go fast!) Nice movie theatre.

I saw "Snowpiercer" there, an international movie that has mostly English and occasionally Korean dialogue. They advertised this as a "Screening in English" and that it was the original version (OV). After some early title sequences written in German rather than English, there was indeed no German subtitles on the English dialogue. Alright, whatever. BUT, they didn't show *any* subtitles for the Korean dialogue in the film! What were the characters saying? I had to look online when I got home! If this were indeed the "original version" -- actually the international version since the original has Korean subtitles on the English dialogue -- then there'd be English text at the beginning and English subtitles during the Korean dialogue. When I spoke to an employee about this afterwards, they said that this was indeed the original version and that it's not their fault. Uhh, okay, original version or not, you're not showing the film properly. I pointed out that it was shown neither for a German-speaking audience nor an English-speaking audience, that what they showed actually comprised all three languages. They didn't care and didn't give any refund or discount. It's not that I care about the remaining 5 people who will see "Snowpiercer" (hey I thought it was pretty good), it's that this cinema simply doesn't give a shit that they're doing something so wrong that virtually *nobody* can follow the damn movie. Also, the place is messy as hell. The owner should pay for some more employees to clean up the place, and he also shouldn't hide behind the poor worker at the box office when customers are complaining about his failure to show a movie properly. Go see OmU movies at the Harmonie kino instead. They won't screw you.

This is our go to spot, most of the time. The cons of this…read moreplace are: (From an American Viewpoint) Poor candy selection Popcorn always tastes stale & there's no liquid butter (oh no) Drinks are in bottles/ no soda fountain (I need ice) The theater seats are rough to sit on The pros however are: Parking is free/ plenty of parking Movies are offered in English They serve liquor/ bottled beer This place have a massive amount of unused space. Every time I visit I comment how they'd increase their revenue if they revamped the snack counter and filled the empty space with arcade games/ laser tag/ escape room, etc. Overall it's worth the visit if you're looking for a movie spot other than on base theaters.

If you're looking for a Hollywood movie in English without subtitles, this is your place…read more I found it to be easily located (behind the McDonalds or Hertz as you enter Landstuhl from Weilerbach - I guess that's the best way to describe?) The parking lot across from the theaters main doors has a surrounding gate with a gate arm, but it doesn't actually shoot out a ticket. So just push the button for entrance, and the drive on in. There's an atm located at the sidewalk for the parking lot. This is an atm and not a parking ticket booth. Parking is free! Yay! As you enter, there is a corridor and then the lobby through the second set of entrance doors, and to the left once you enter the lobby is the counter labeled "tickets" (look up for the signs), and then there's also beverages and snack concessions next to the ticket cashier as well. For two adults during the day it was €20. I thought that was kinda pricey. But movies are kinda a luxury so it's all good. Beer and wine are sold here - all German brand which to me is even better than offering bud light. They do not unlock the entrance doors until a few minutes prior to show time. Which explains the circular lobby seating as you enter. It's like everyone's in the fish bowl waiting. Cause they are! In the theater, the seats are comfortable with cup holders but they're not well tiered so I thoughtfully sat off to the the side even though the seating is assigned because I had a high bun that day which would've ruin the view for the ladies behind me! It was my first time there so next time I will choose a less obnoxious and lazy hair style. I look forward to returning, especially because I don't work on week days and I'm sure the theater will be super empty. Here's hoping!
