I was looking for regular drinking water. Not fizzy. What is the German obsession with fizzy water? Any way, I wanted 'still' water and the clerk helped me right away. I chose Evian and lugged six 1.5 liter bottles back to the hotel. Whew. The people are really hustling and bustling out on the street at 7 am. On their way to work I imagine. Back to the store: it is self-checkout which always unnerves me. They have clerks standing by to help so it was easy. Scan the item, insert your euros, get your change and receipt. Off you go. A pretty nice convenient place.
