After I had a lumbar discectomy in 2012, I had always had a level 4-6 pain in my back in a scale of 0-10. It was right in the range that I might need to take an OTC drug, or just suffer with it. My wife suggested to try a chiropractor she started using. I met Dr Lorenz at Health First in Schaumburg Illinois, as part of the suggested regime when I started in 2021. As he began the treatment, he could immediately tell the muscles and tissues in my back where like a rock, as a natural response to the previous injury. He skillfully found all of the pain centers residing in my back, an painfully began to use naprapathic message to ease the tension and reduce the pain. I followed him when he decided to open Revolutionary Health, he seemed to have the space to begin more advanced concepts. He has begun to use a chiropractic bench which gives greater articulation to work on the back. He also has been able to begin treatment of the menial tunnel syndrome that I developed in my right arm, which seems to provide greater relief than when I went with the typical orthopedic treatments. I also has experience with magnetic treatments, which I've heard can provide pain relief as well. Overall, his treatment methodology is painful at the beginning, but in the long run, provides a terrific non-drug methodology to alleviate pain. Thankfully, my insurance covers this type of treatment. Generally speaking, since his practice is new, the office experience is a bit muted, since he does not have a staff. He has generally flexible scheduling between 9 am and 6 pm. Overall, I cannot express enough my recommendation for Dr Lorenz. Please consider this type of care, as a non-drug related substitute or addition to pain care. read more

My first visit with Dr. Lorenz was in September, 2021. I hobbled into his office with major pain in my left hip/butt area. In July, 2021, I knew I had pulled something in this area but thought it would disappear. Little did I know it would get much worse. By the time I saw Dr. Lorenz I had seen two MD's and had many sessions of physical therapy with two different therapists. I was still not in good shape. I had to lift my left leg to get into the car and bathtub. Dr. Lorenz suggested four sessions in a two week period. I knew after the first session I was much better. After the fourth session I was practically back to normal. Shortly after that I was back to normal! I now see him every three weeks and feel wonderful. He also is trained in Bio-Magnetic adjustments which I highly recommend. Dr. Lorenz is extremely personable, intuitive, a good listener, and truly cares about his patients. He definitely deserves this 5 star review. read more

Dr. Lorenz is not just a practitioner, but a healer! I have now successfully finished my course of treatment and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. After a car accident I started to experience tingling and numbness in my arm. Dr. Lorenz estimated that it would take about 12 weekly visits to really address the issue. His estimate was spot on, and the treatment helped with other problems/issues as well. Before he started, he took a detailed patient history. His knowledge of naprapathy was extensive, and he explained everything well and completely. His technique is clearly physiologically evidence-based, but he is not afraid to use his intuition and experience to explore the most effective manipulations. His "touch" is strong and therapeutic, but he never went too hard, always paying attention to my verbal and body cues to work with my body, not against it. The few times that I expressed some real discomfort he quickly switched to an alternative method that achieved the desired outcome. Dr. Lorenz assigned me extremely helpful exercises to do at home, giving clear instructions and demonstrations to be certain I understood the techniques. He even recommended some equipment to purchase to help enhance healing and make daily life activities more comfortable. He not only fixed my presenting issue, but friends noticed that I was standing and walking with more ease and freedom than I had in years. Finally, his comforting "tableside" manor and friendly personality made each session not only therapeutic, but enjoyable. I now return once a month for a "tune-up" to be certain that I don't lose the benefits of the treatment. My insurance does not cover this, so I pay completely out of pocket, and it is worth every penny. Thanks, Dr. L! read more

I came to Dr.Lorenz for a lower back injury. I strained my lower back so bad I could barely walk. I could not bend at all or lift anything over 20lbs. Every time I stepped my left foot forward it would cause 8/10 pain in my back and I have a high pain tolerance. I was left unable to sit in my chair at work I couldn't go grocery shopping or do laundry for 2 weeks until finally a coworker recommended Naprapathy. After my first session with Dr.Lorenz I was 75% better! He was so professional and caring and after 2 visits my back was 100% better and I had my complete range of motion back. Dr.Lorenz even called me personally after our last session to check on how I was doing. I would highly recommend Dr.Lorenz and you can expect great individualized care! read more

Dr. Lorenz is a very professional caring doctor. I made an appointment with him because due to bad posture and sitting at a computer all day, I experienced neck and shoulder pain on my right side. Dr. Lorenz took the time to really work on those areas which were very tight and sore. When I left his office I did not have any more pain due and I felt great. Due to travel I am not able to see Dr. Lorenz as much as I would like, but if I could I would see him every week in order to keep my body aligned and limber which is very important. He is one of the greatest! read more

Prior to the autumn of 2017 I never even heard of a naprapath. I was looking for a new chiropractor and learned of the profession from someone who was about to retire. I called around to learn more and found Dr. Lorenz who was patient, professional, and caring in talking over the phone and answering my many questions. I visited Dr. Lorenz in a few locations to meet my scheduling needs and he provided expertise about my injury, deep skills and knowledge to be extremely effective in care, and his passion for his clients is top notch. If I still lived in the Chicago area I would continue to be a client of his as he is outstanding in helping someone heal along with having kindness and thoroughness in client care. Beyond highly recommended. read more

As a guitar player, I have experienced pain in my left shoulder -- the one that holds the weight of the guitar -- for years. At my first session with Dr. Lorenz, he had me bring in the instrument and play while he took careful observations, both visual and from feeling my muscles and bones in action. Based on his observations, he has worked on my problem areas in a nuanced and focused way that has brought both short- and long-term relief. I always feel better after each session, and while the pain has not disappeared entirely yet, it has gone down a lot in frequency and intensity after just a few sessions. Recently, I had a horrible episode with my leg. All the muscles around my IT band basically seized up. I was in discomfort and pain, and could hardly walk. Luckily, I was scheduled to see Dr. Lorenz the next morning. He was careful and specific in his treatment, providing immense relief on the spot. Within 24 hours of the treatment, I was fully recovered. Throughout this process, Dr. Lorenz is very communicative, asking me questions and including me in the process as he works. I really appreciate his expertise and professionalism. As a musician himself, he knows a lot about what our bodies go through, and he is always actively learning more. read more
