Asked about our wants needs and desires. She gave us SO MANY unique ideas that were practical and functional. She prevented us from making mistakes and offered great suggestions for what we were trying to accomplish. Catherine and Alex managed the design, measuring and installation coordination. Installation was a dream. We reviewed the designs countless times to make sure everything was designed to perfection. The installation team paid so much attention to every little detail. Alex was here the day the cabinets arrived and installation started, and Catherine came the next day to check the progress.Every cabinet is perfectly level, and every little nailhead was filled in with perfect color match. I do a lot of cooking and canning and this kitchen is my dream come true. It is absolutely beautiful and completely functional. I have a place for everything. The price was very very fair considering it's a 23.5 foot wide kitchen with one wall of cabinet cabinets, a 15' x 4' deep island, a beverage center that is 4' x 18", a balustrade that is 8 foot wide designed by an artist, all the wood trim for the windows and door in the entire Great Room, and a bathroom vanity and linen closet door. I still randomly, six months later, text Catherine how much I love this kitchen. She knew it wasn't returnable and didn't give me the heads up that I shouldn't take a chance that it wouldn't fit and I would be stuck with it. On top of that, she told the contractor that I wanted the brick tile stacked in my shower when I explicitly told her that I wanted it horizontal brick pattern. So I'm stuck with that too. Even after I spent all that money at the Kohler store the manager and the owner, Joe Rotskoff, were such jerks and acknowledge how I was misled and ripped off. I would not recommend anybody to deal with the Kohler store in Indianapolis.

The Kohler hardware was purchased from Donnie Briggs at Kohler, and the tilework and installation was done by Mark Groce. Mark has strong attention to detail from getting the grout mix and color to carefully placing each tile. The process could take a while since some of the items needed may need to be custom cut. We're incredibly happy with the craftsmanship and quality of the finished shower. I highly recommend both Donnie Briggs for hardware and Mark Groce for his construction/installation work and both of them are great with design and attention to detail. I recommend future clients to be involved in the construction process, as it helps with communication and decisions. I would gladly work with both Donnie and Mark again for any future projects.

When we met Holly and saw the cabinet options Chateau had to offer, it was a certain decision. Holly Blevins is an amazing designer who is fun to work with. The kitchen was my wife's project. She and Holly worked so well together syncing up on design ideas. Holly kept our decisions in-budget and on-time. She is simply amazing! When it came to our general contractor working with the construction crew at Chateau, our GC said they were very good to work with. From my perspective, they worked as a united team. It was easy to work with Chateau. They sell excellent products with many choices to fit any person's taste. They came to our house in the beginning, took measurements, talked to us about the process. We agreed upon the cost. Got things ordered and started the project. There was great communication throughout the project. We always felt that Chateau had our back and that our project was important to them. They cared that we would get the kitchen we wanted and that it was designed in a way that we would continue to enjoy it. There is an extra service you can elect to pay for related to design. We did pay for this. It allows the designer to keep helping throughout the project. Some people may not want this and if that is you, you can elect not to have it. My suggestion is to get it. Once the project started and we needed to make decisions, Holly was with us every step of the way helping with the decisions when we needed her. The service was highly valuable. More than once my wife and I said that we were so glad we had the extra design service. After a year, the kitchen is still great. They had mostly just antique furniture pieces and some books toward the back. Also a few jewelry pieces in a case that were pretty, but nothing super eye catching. There was also a large, ballroom type of room that was pretty much empty. The shop manager was taking down all the christmas display that was in that room and made polite conversation with us. I'm not sure if there is usually more to see in that room when it isn't the holiday season. I definitely would be willing to give this place another chance next time we're other this way.
