Unequivocally THE WORST company I have ever dealt with in my 55 years on this planet. No company is…read moreeven remotely close! I have GC'd many large projects over the years, so I have a LOT of experience in dealing with various vendors. It took almost 2 weeks just to get them to put our order together. But, it was wrong, so it took another 3 days to get them to correct it. During that 2+ week period I requested a manager twice. Both times I was just put into voicemail and never received a call back. A full month later our order was delivered, but only half of it! Once I pointed this out to them, they offered no explanation or apology, and delivered the missing half a week later (they dropped it right on top of 3 hydrangeas, crushing them). That night I received a call from the delivery guys that they delivered "someone else's order" and were there at 9:30 at night swapping them out! Finally after multiple delays our contractor was ready to start the job. Only after opening everything up did they discover that the order was missing all of my gate hardware, 3 railing brackets, and 4 fence brackets! Also the wrong size caps and stiffener were provided! It took two 2-hour roundtrips for me to get all the above! Whatever you think you may be saving on their product pricing, you will pay for 10-fold in frustration, mental anguish, project delays, gas consumption, travel time, etc. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING went as it should throughout the entire process, and I will never, ever use them again. As one of the counter people said in disgust, after hearing my story -- "you get what you pay for". Even the employees think Great Railing is pathetic!

Don't go in there if you don't know exactly what you are looking for. As I was trying to explain…read morewhat I was looking for, Joann R. spoke to me in a demeaning way which made me very uncomfortable because I didn't know what a "that's a horse fence, hon" was. Uhhhh.... I'm not a fence contractor nor do I own any horses to know. Late Friday afternoon, I guess her patience left for the day...

We had to "look" over the work ourselves and email them what was wrong and needed fixing. They did fix it but no one from the company called when it was finished to ask how we liked it and if there were any issues, nor did any manager come out to look at the workmanship of the job. It was left to us to reach out and ask for things to be fixed correctly. When told we were not happy with how this was handled we got an oh sorry and that was it. They could care less about the sub-par experience we had.

Messaged their Facebook page and within minutes I received a response back and set up an appointment for them to come out and look at our home. Sean came out and did a professional assessment. He was beyond friendly, polite and courteous. Answered any questions we had and informed us of the next steps. Went step by step with the paperwork and kept us informed with anything else needed from us. Once all the paperwork and such was sent to the township and we were given the green light, Brett took over and the communication was great. He would call and keep us updated on when they would start and the timeline it would take. Brett was amazing and easy to talk to - always spoke very highly of his crew. The deck itself looks phenomenal. The quality of work is top notch, and professional. And not to mention looks AMAZING! We are insanely happy with the work and product!

The mahogany storm and screen door I ordered was built to a high standard and met specifications…read more However, communications with the owner around (a) delivery and (b) a defect in the glass storm insert left something to be desired. The delivery, which obviously required someone to be home, was two hours late with no notification from the company. The storm glass insert was not true to spec because the gap between it and the enclosing molding was not uniform. Why wasn't this checked at the shop beforehand? Unlike the delivery man, who made every effort to accommodate me, the owner was unapologetic about the lack of communication for the delay. More importantly, he would only consider fixing the problem if the door and the glass and screen inserts were returned to the shop, in which case it would be my responsibility to retrieve them. He wouldn't pay for a second delivery. He would rather cancel the deal and eat the cost of the goods. Having to pick up the door myself was a non-starter. I don't have a suitable vehicle, which is why I paid for delivery in the first place. The only other option he offered was to have the door and inserts returned to the shop and refund my money in full. Then I would have had to start my search over again and suffer a lead time of 6 to 8 weeks or more, so my front entry wouldn't be well prepared for the onset of cold weather. It fell to me to be the creative and save the deal by suggesting he give me a discount in return for which I would live with the defect. It seemed like he would rather have lost the sale than compromise. We came to terms, but the whole process was unnecessarily stressful.
