I had no idea this amazing consignment shop existed on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach until one…read moreday when I took some time to explore the treasures of the Avenue. It's near the Blue Anchor Pub, just before you go over the Intracoastal on your way to the beach. A Blast From the Past is owned by Dee Ziemba and it is made up of two boutiques, a couture boutique in front of the store selling designer handbags, shoes, clothing, and accessories, and a vintage boutique in the back with costume jewelry, hats, and collectibles. There was so much interesting art and beautiful porcelain but my favorite part of the store was the costume jewelry. It reminded me of all the time I spent looking through my grandmas jewelry box. I loved examining all of the gorgeous enamel pins and earrings that used to adorn the classiest of ladies. I also loved a Chanel bag and a really cool pair of Gucci sunglasses. If you are into fashion and beautiful objects, you will love exploring this store. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see their latest treasures.

HIT a Double was recommended and we went over to check it out, which is not in a usual store front. The store is in a warehouse district off Clint Moore, but the front door does face the roadway to make it easier to find with plenty of parking. We walked in and were instantly greeted by staff. The store is a candy-land of baseball equipment! My son tried on or tested everything to make sure it was the right fit with plenty of colors and brand options. We ended up with a new gray glove, green helmet, black bat, blue backpack, black pants and green socks! One of the cool things HIT has is a glove steamer, which sits in what looks like a popcorn machine to soften the hard leather. It takes a few minutes and then its good to go! The store has had other locations before and moved to this location in 2019. They do a lot of business on the web and for league teams across the county. We had a really nice experience and don't be intimidated, the staff are thoughtful and genuine about their knowledge of the equipment. We will probably be back if my son continues to play.

It is one of the few non food vendors at the market. Owner Ryan Heavyside decided to partner with Delray Market because "Down here it's hard to come by to just, you know, put in a shop somewhere, so when they came to us, we felt blessed that we could do that." Nomad sells clothing for men, women, and children, and accessories like hats, sunglasses, sandals, and towels. You can schedule surf lessons with them for $40 and hour and they also rent surf boards for $25 a half day and $35 for a full day. They also rent skim and boogie boards. On the day I visited they were giving away a custom surfboard in conjunction with the opening of the market. This is the sweetest little surf shop. They are the perfect fit since the beach is just a mile away. Come out and support Florida's brand new largest food hall and this great local business.

Seriously- walking in just made me want to go back to my lazy beach days watching the waves and dancing around in my Billabong dresses and Rainbo sandals. This location is large and has a huge collection of shoes and clothing. I could not leave without finding something to buy. I found the cutest "retro" Florida shirt, but it was a mini and I am past that stage in life. The staff was incredible and found it for me in a normal length. I cannot wait to rock it here in Atlanta.

I tried to explain that we were headed back to a long cold winter in Chicago and her Blanco by Nature dress wouldn't get much use for 6 months, but she didn't care. And she also picked up a sweatshirt that she said was giving her "parke" vibes. I was impressed with their Vuori collection and eyed some cute tennis dresses for myself, but we were busy shopping for her. They also had a wall of kulani swimsuits, which isn't my favorite of swimsuit brands, but the teens are all about them. They were pretty busy the day we were there mostly with teens. And I noticed while shopping in Brandy Melville after that most girls were holding Quiet Storm Surf Shop bags.
