Real talk: finding contractors in Copenhagen is among my least favorite things to do. Whether it's…read morea plumber, an electrician, or a carpenter, I'd sooner rather remove my own eyeballs with kitchen appliances than go on a blind hunt for home improvement people here. Sounds dramatic, I know, but I'm totally serious. Perhaps you can relate. But, yelp friends, I have good news for you. I have, finally, praise be to god, found an incredible carpenter. And he's not just incredible because his competition sucks so bad. He's incredible in his own right, because he is talented and creative, and reliable. Carpentry in the true meaning of the word, with an ethical business owner behind it all to boot? Trust, you're not dreaming! Jonas, the main man behind Frederiksberg Tømreren is indeed one of the most talented carpenters I've ever met. He's the type of guy you call for custom projects. Need a built-in closet? Not interested in an IKEA kitchen? Want to add custom bookshelves to a wall? He's your guy. I will be honest. He is not cheap. He doesn't hire illegal labor and he works his ass off. It's worth the money when you've got a good home investment to make. He won't cut corners and rip anyone off. If you have a bigger project to do that involves any form of carpentry, as well as plumbing, electricity, etc, I highly encourage you to start with him. He has good contacts and takes pride in his work, and so do the people he works with.

We wanted to purchase a picture with a frame as a present for a friend. We checked the website and…read moresaw that a 40X60cm picture cost 600DKK. After writing The Wall Market on Facebook on monday the 23rd of september, asking them if it would be possible to come by and choose a picture and have it giftwrapped, we were very disappointed to learn that the store was closed. The opening hours on facebook and their website were not up to date and when we tried writing them on facebook, they did not answer our message, even though we could see that they had read the message. The lack of response was very disappointing, especially as we were forced to come up with a different gift idea for our friend on a very short notice, as we could not trust The Wall Market to respond or their opening hours. We even investigated if we could purchase a picture online through their website, but when we checked the website on september 30th, their prices had almost doubled! From 600DKK to 1100DKK. Again, very disappointing. All in all it was a very poor experience from a customer point of view. Also, I believe the sudden change in opening hours and price increase is poor practice and so is it not updating it on their website and facebook page. Their website is fairly well functioning, but it is hard to see the prices of their pictures, as you have to click in on a picture to see its price. I haven't check all pictures, but it seems that most cost 1100 DKK now for a 40X60cm picture. I really think the business practices of this company are poor, and I would not recommend anyone to do business with The Wall Market.
