They just did a lunch for our Christmas party and it was excellent! The food was good & they got there early and put hot items in oven & salad in the fridge. All serving pieces were there & made it easy to set up when we were ready. A couple husbands who got leftovers really liked those too! We had to move the date a couple days because of the snowstorm and they were very accomodating! Thank you so much! read more

I would like to express the 4 times we have used Rueland's Catering service, it was a complete success each and every time, we used them 16 years ago for my husband's birthday party (100) sadly after that was for my mother's funeral, such kind and caring people, they went above and beyond to make things good on the worse day of my life, on a happier note came my son's and daughter in law's wedding, they did and amazing job, we couldn't of got more compliments on the food and the service they provided, also completely satisfied, and last was this July 3, 2022 again my husband 60th birthday party 125 people, WOW what a spread they put out, it again was a success from start to finish, I've lived in Minocqua most of my life, this business is a true success story in my opinion, they have come through all 4 times using them and I truly believe many people will 2nd that, Keep up the great job Rueland's Catering, we'll be in touch for our next event!!! read more

Hey future bride, congrats on your upcoming wedding! Would you like to book a caterer WHO IS A NO SHOW FOR YOUR WEDDING? Would you like to spend the 48 hours leading up to your wedding calling them incessantly, leaving voicemails after voicemail, visiting their physical location (which was locked and closed on a Friday at 3p)? If you answered yes to any of the above, then you should book Reuland's for your wedding! That's right. Reuland's was a no show for our wedding. Let me walk you through my experience. I first started talking to Andrea about the prospect of catering my wedding. Phone calls were answered and she was responsive, even happy to "throw in a free water service for your wedding" wink wink. I paid my deposit and thought nothing of it. A few months prior to the wedding, I'm calling to try and figure out when to finalize details. I called and called, left voicemails, sent emails, etc. After about a week of doing this, I hear back from Andrea Reuland. She was dismissive, almost laughing at my desire to talk about final details. I was told that there's no need to talk about my wedding as it was still about 6 weeks out and to call about a week before my wedding. A week before my wedding, I went through this game again. At this point, Reuland's still did not have my final count (how many steaks vs salmon, how many people in total, how many place settings I would need, where to park, when to show up for my wedding, even when final payment is due). After some convincing, Andrea told me that she would come to our wedding venue 2 days before the wedding date to finalize details. When I asked for a time, I was told "oh, i'll give you a call in the morning and we can see how the day goes"...ok, fine. My wedding was a Sunday and Reuland's was planning to come by the venue on Friday. Friday comes around, I'm sitting at our venue all day waiting for a phone call. I call Reuland's, I leave voicemails, I leave emails, my husband goes to their actual location in downtown Minocqua. Nothing. The kicker? The blamed me for not calling Andrea's cell phone - a number I was never given. The excuse was another wedding took precedent over mine and had some unforeseen changes. I'm understanding. Give me a call if you can't show up on Friday and perhaps we can reschedule to Saturday. We can even discuss final details over the phone! But give me a call and communicate an update to me. This takes 2 minutes but Reuland's did not respect me enough to do that. Instead, as the bride, I was chasing Reuland's down every step of the way and event then, they didn't show up. We brought this up to our photographer the day of our wedding. When we told her that our caterer didn't show up, she immediately said, "Was it Reuland's?!" She knew and shared that for another wedding she photographed just a few weeks before ours, they were 2 hours late the day of the wedding and were setting up the table as people were already seated for dinner. So brides, beware. I truly hope my experience serves as an example for future brides to stay away. This is the only consolation I'm taking away from this situation - perhaps I can prevent another bride from going through what I went through. We had Reuland's cater my sons wedding in Minocqua in June when our preferred caterer was not available. Although the food was good I would not recommend planning with Andrea. We had several issues working with her that caused additional stress when having a wedding at our home. I would recommend getting a signed contract that includes pricing before paying the deposit as there were many added charges. Communication was poor and we were concerned that we would not have food for the wedding. The other vendors that we used were all amazing and Reuland's unfortunately was the exception read more

This is the 3rd time I've hired Reuland's Catering. This time for my daughter's wedding reception on Sept. 1st. As always with Reuland's, the entire event went off without a hitch. Andrea is so easy to work with, has great ideas and insight and helps you plan down to the smallest detail. The venue was opened to us the day before to decorate and Andrea even gave suggestions on how to display some décor to make it "pop!" The whole planning of the menu, table set-up, place settings was effortless on our part. She took my daughter's vision and color scheme and created an absolutely beautiful scene. The hors d'oeuvres and dinner were fabulous as always. Dan is such a great chef. Stress-free and smooth. I recommend Reuland's to cater your special event. Thank you again, Dan and Andrea, for another beautiful, delicious and memorable event. As an addendum, when the cake was delivered from the baker, it was leaning and sliding to one side. Andrea addressed this with the delivery driver and then contacted the manager of the bakery and asked her come to the venue to see for herself the disastrous condition the cake had arrived in. She got a business card from the manager and was instructed to give it to me to address the situation directly. Andrea did not have to do this, but she looks out for her clients/guests. I used Reuland's for my wedding this past weekend and cannot say enough good things about them. Andrea was a blessing through the entire process. She suggested food that we never would have picked, but was totally our style. I think almost every guest told us how amazing the food was. Andrea's dad ended up being the one at the wedding, but andrea stopped by in the morning to congratulate us and make sure everything was just how we wanted it. Her dad stood out in the rain all evening grilling for our guests. They even hauled the leftover food to our room so we didn't have to deal with it inthe middle of the ceremony. Guests went up for seconds and even thirds! I just can't say enough about this duo. I would recommend them over and over again! read more

We wanted to host our reception with Reuland's. We were told the weekend was available. We decide to book, call Andrea leave a voicemail and send an email. No reply. Three days later, after finally speaking with Andrea, suddenly the venue is booked. We were told first come first serve and then that she needed to call a couple who had toured the venue FOUR MONTHS prior to see if they were still interested. But that we would be next in line if they didn't want it any longer. I'm sorry but how do you turn down someone coming with check in hand?! That's not first come. Nor was Andrea responsive. Despite hearing that she was great to work with and so responsive. How can you move forward with planning a wedding or event when you have not secured a venue and are "next in line". I would not spend any money here even had she called us to offer it the very next day. Poor business practice. read more

Reuland's recently catered my wedding. The food was amazing and fresh (many guests told me it was the best wedding meal they'd ever have), and the staff was very attentive and cleared plates as soon as they were empty. That said, we had some problems when the bill came. Reuland's does not work with contracts, and the per-plate charge was raised $6.00 by the time the final bill came. I have no reservations recommending them on the basis of their food and service, but be sure you're clear about how much you're paying before you commit. read more

Reuland's food is absolutely amazing. The new banquet facility is gorgeous. However, if Andrea is the "facilitator" for your event....run!!!! Andrea is the most unprofessional, disrespectful, and blatantly rude person to work with. I had nothing but complaints about her from my guests and other services contracted for my wedding. Our DJ labeled her as difficult to work with and uncooperative. I can't write what my wedding guests called her. Andrea took it upon herself to belittle a member of our wedding party in front of other guests who witnessed Andrea's rude and obnoxious behavior. When confronted, Andrea totally blamed the guest. I later found out that the guest was not at fault by others who witnessed the incident. Even if there was a problem Andrea should have addressed this problem to myself or my husband instead of making a scene in front of other wedding guests. Andrea also had the audacity to tell wedding guests that Reuland's didn't even want to facilitate our wedding but had to because they were already under contract. Real nice to know that we were such a burden to you Andrea!!! The Duwe wedding for next year is already checking into other options so they don't have to deal with your outbursts and behavior. I'm sure the other engaged couple that was present is doing the same. The problems started already on Friday before the wedding when we were scheduled to decorate. We were told originally that we could have the banquet hall from noon on. After meeting for the final headcount with Andrea we told her we would only need a couple hours to decorate. We decided from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. would be sufficient for the decorating we needed to complete. At 12:03 p.m. on Friday my phone rings and it's Andrea announcing that she would only be at the hall until 1:00 p.m. Members of my wedding party arrived at 12:30 p.m. to decorate. The complaints started immediately because Andrea stands there and monitors you decorating. The wedding party was so uncomfortable having Andrea standing there glaring at them, it was impossible to have an enjoyable time. At approximately 1:15 p.m. Andrea announced that she would be leaving in 15 minutes. Needless to say everyone was happy to hear that, so I responded cheerfully, "OK". Andrea sarcastically responded "that means you too". Funny, I thought we agreed 2:00 p.m. I can't reiterate enough to anyone considering using Reuland's Catering....make sure Andrea is not present. I told Andrea that night she ruined the whole reception. So once again, thank you Andrea for taking away what should have been a fun filled, relaxing evening from myself and my wedding guests. We are left with memories of stress, anger, and frustration. I'm sure this post will be deleted shortly, but there will be plenty of letters being circulated. And if Andrea does try to rectify this post with her manipulative lies, remember, I have numerous wedding guests and other services that were contracted that can witness this read more

We had Rueland's cater our daughter's wedding last weekend. They came the morning of our wedding and set our tables, everything looked beautiful! We were served appetizers first, they were amazing! They have this huge grill that they set up outside our tent, we had them grill steak and chicken and portabellas. You can't get much fresher then that! They made all kinds vegetables and salads. The food was delicious. Our guests raved about how great everything was. The service was excellent! read more
