It's the least organized of all of them I go to, it's more like a mom and pop hardware store feeling, but it's not so disorganized it feels messy. The booths they have from their vendors also have a lot of really nice stuff. It's not like some of them in town that are full of a bunch of junk. I've gone here every Christmas now for many years to do shopping. Of the things I found here they are by far the cheapest prices of the antique malls in the region. If you are in the area and have never been it is worth a visit.

Usually if you go to a thrift store, the toy area is trashed from the kids playing with the toys. But they had the toys higher up on shelves and bagged with the pieces that go with the toys. So they actually had a better selection of toys because all the pieces are most pieces were intact. I ended up buying some toys there for my grandson and also some books. Their prices were good compared to other thrift stores. I did not look at the clothing prices which tend to be ridiculous at most thrift stores. We did not have to wait long at all to check out and the woman was friendly. I have been to the other Blessings Abound thrift store in Overland Park, but not this one. I would recommend it to anyone living in this area.

The product mix changes frequently, sometimes it's more crafts than antiques and vice versa. The point I want to make is just because you don't like what you see today doesn't mean it will be the same experience in a month. The owner of this shop seems to have a knack for finding some very unusual pieces. We picked up 4 wooden church panels here, they were in an old country church to protect the stained glass windows. They are 8 ft tall, solid wood in a lattice pattern, and it's not every day you can get your hands on old church pieces like this. And that's just one example that comes to mind. I've moved to Vegas and look around me and see no less than 12 items that came from Greenwood Mercantile. When I get back to KC this is a place I stop in as I continue to find some great things here. (This review is based on my most recent visit in March 2012.)
