Called to have suspicious spot chk'd on my head. (Melanoma history) Took half day from work…read more Arrived on time waited 30 mins then was told they dont take BCBS it would be out of pocket. All they had to do is read insurance on file. But the front desk told me "they would be a no charge today". How bout the half day wages and my time. Billed me for $562 they said it was for my appointment in Feb. At that time they happily took my BCBS card, I paid a co-payment but waited till Jun 27th to bill me this out of network charge. The office manager said on the phone they haven't ever taken BCBS insurance. But they took mine. Wow what a terribly managed office. Billing dept said it had to be recoded at the visiting office the visiting office said it's the billing dept that has to make the change.
