Made an appointment with Doctor Michael Cushing to review the MRI, and discuss my options. We scheduled surgery for my right shoulder. I have had three post surgery visits to make sure everything is okay. Also, started PT two days after the surgery twice a week for 10 weeks and once a week afterwards. Awesome experience from the start. We are looking to do the left shoulder next year.

The staff worked hard to schedule an appointment immediately. The office staff, the PA, the clinical staff were all very nice. However, when the physician came in to consult on my mother's case, he walked in, grabbers her arm without any acknowledgment or greeting. He seemed oblivious to the fact that he was causing her a great deal of pain. Only after I made a point of introducing my mother to him did he bother to introduce himself. NOT OK. I appreciate that he is busy, but the lack of respect was very hurtful. The fact that she can't speak for herself doesn't in any way make her less worthy of respect and compassion.

Don't get me wrong, very polite and courteous , attentive to your needs. I was asked to be early , and I was 10 mins early. Still waited for 20 minutes, only 2 people waiting in the lobby, including myself, no complaints. My issue was Stacey the MRI tech. I am coming in because my knee will not bend. So I am hobbling to walk. I have to lift my leg to move it.. She sees this. She just stands there and looks at you.. No assistance of getting on the MRI table, no assistance of getting off the table. I almost fell on the floor getting off the table.. It was a struggle to get on the table in the beginning. I don't know what her issue was of not helping and least help me lift my leg that I am having problems lifting on the table. She is the type that I can't touch you. She should not be in this type in this field. If touching and assisting people is an issue. This isn't my first MRI. BUT This is my first experience with someone staring at me to get on the table of not assisting, seeing I need the help.

I had already been to my first patient appointment this year with piedmont at white oak where i initially told the dr i normally get an inhaler prescribed. So when i ran out, i called the office thinking they can just refill my prescription. I was told I had to come in for an appointment. I made the appointment. They are now charging $190 for a "sick" appointment when i saw the NP for only 5 minutes to just reiterate that i need my inhaler prescription refill. I honestly feel like they just wanted me to come in so that they can bill me an additional fee. I just feel like the cost is ridiculous just to tell them in person that i need my inhaler prescription- which is exactly what i said over the phone and in my initial new patient appointment. I'm never going back.

Dr. Gruber is a super doctor. My wife had a total knee replacement and did so well. He was very…read morekind and honest with her options. What I liked is he was so honest in his reviews of her problem. He gave her options but was honest that the alternatives to replacement were costly and at best temporary and the real solution was the replacement. The operation went well her recovery has been so smooth and she is much better now than she has been in years. If I had to undergo this Dr. Gruber would be my choice hands down.
