Wasted time, wasted money, and I have to redo my resume now. Very poor customer service, and I only had one interview out of 40 resumes sent. She didn't respond to my email when I told her that three online job boards reviewed my resume with some very negative comments about its format and the information provided. Learned my lesson, just because something costs more absolutely DOES NOT mean it's better quality.

I tried those online resume builders but they are super crappy. He/she emailed me back my resume in 2 days and even made a few additional changes that I wanted, SAME DAY! It was awesome, the resume looks so much better now. I usually don't use any of those online services because the payment is always sketchy, but they use Paypal which is really easy. Props for that. I really wish they had a website, I couldn't find them on google, but he/she said they've only been in business a few months so maybe that will change. All in all a good experience, I would definitely use them again if I ever need any writing done. Hopefully not too soon as I don't want to go through the job hunting process again haha.

Curious... I'm the 1st Yelp reviewer? mmm…read more Background... What I did notice is that this industry is kind of a black hole. As a consumer, it's difficult to tell what exactly one is "investing" in. Subsequently, I'd like to document my journey for future seekers such as myself to get additional insight. For a large sum of money, upwards of $1500+.... (generally speaking) coaches didn't seem to try & "sell" the benefits, just expected consumers to "believe". It was a little disconcerting & felt "slippery". Either way, I needed/wanted one. So I took a leap of faith. I have very high hopes for this process. I hired Teena as a career coach (not a resume writer). On Linkedin she comes highly recommended (mostly for resume writing) but she's been doing this since 1999, after our brief conversation & the others that I interviewed - I felt good about moving forward with her. Unfortunately, we're off to a rocky start. 10 days after full payment of $1,500 and we still have not had our 1st meeting or have one scheduled. So far some lessons learned: 1. Everyone is busy. Make sure you know the coach's available hours upfront. I made the mistake & assumed availability would be full business hours, not a truncated time period (i.e. only half days, 3 days a week). Esp take into consideration time zones. I'd recommend tentatively locking in a re-occuring day before paying, so that you can hit the ground running. 2. Pre-Agree upon an expected response time. For example, a turnaround time of 24 hours for either a response or a "need more time, will follow-up by" etc etc. But that means the buyer has to follow that too! = ) I'm still hopeful that this will improve and excited to get started. Keep you posted.

Received several e-mails and text…read moremessages reminding about the phone call, including both in e-mail and text format within an hour of the scheduled time. Needless to say, there were no phone calls, nothing. They didn't even reply to my follow-up e-mail wondering about the missed appointment time. 1-star review is 1 star too many since there was 0 service provided.
