When making the reservation for my pregnant wife (as a surprise, no less), I was told that my purchase did not include a prenatal massage. After some discussion, the owner reluctantly decided to honor the Groupon and give her a massage. After the phone call, I went back to the Groupon site to figure out what I had missed, since I was after all, searching for a prenatal massage. Nothing. It was a completely unnecessary runaround I received for a kind gesture for my wife. Now, I believed that everyone deserves a second chance and that we should give her a try once more. Big mistake. Seven months later, I wanted to treat my wife to another massage. We called and left messages (with a call back number) numerous times over several weeks and received no response. After reaching out to Groupon, contact was miraculously made and we were told that we were the ones not answering. Wondering if our phones may have been causing the problem all along, we went to our phone records-nothing yet again. No calls were ever received from this business, especially at the alleged dates and times. To make matters worse, after calling to set up the appointment, instead of accepting our business and informing us of the unwritten policy, we were denied being able to make an appointment simply because we purchased through Groupon. Absolutely insane. I don't normally write reviews like these, since I understand and have plenty experience in sales and customer service and know firsthand what it is like dealing with ungrateful patrons, yet my wife and I are pretty understanding and educated people and avoid trying to fit into that category. What's worse is a business owner thinking that talking to patrons in a demeaning way is going to grow a customer base. I will conclude with this; I do believe a person gets what they pay for, but in trying to support a local business, I have eaten my own words.
